Reminded me of the authors old work and of course andi Arnrt narration is just perfect I didn’t even notice that it was just her until I got to the end of the story recommend this audiobook very highly.

Funny, light hearted and has a nice slow burn. really enjoyed it. love the main character and her quirkiness, all the side characters were good too. laughed out loud a couple of times!

Borrowed this from the Plus Catalogue as Kylie Scott is one of my favourite authors.

This is a quick fun listen. Riley is a romance writer who has moved to a small town from a big city as she is trying to find somewhere she might fit. Connor is the local boy, ex-prom king, hot, sexy and grumpy. They end up fake dating in order for her to be more accepted in the town and for him to let the town know once and for all that he isn’t going back with his ex. Of course the obvious happens and feelings get involved.

We have a good set of side characters, including Ava the ex who isn’t as one dimensional as she first appears. There’s the unfriendly mum, the slightly delinquent grandma, the town bully, the snarky niece and a few other towns folk. It’s a good story, if a little short and not terribly deep.

Andi Arndt of course does an excellent job as the narrator (even styling out a reference to herself in the book). She has excellent timing and is particularly good with a rom com.

This book was easy to follow, with some great humour and a good story. It’s grumpy x sunshine with a side of other woman drama, the characters are lovable and the narration was great, Andi Arndt did a really great job of giving each character a unique sound.

This is a real gem! 💎 It’s a well written short, sweet insta love with small town hilarities and a dream boat MMC who finds his happy ever after with a sparkly, snarky heroine who’s got a mouth spouting real laugh out loud moments. Top this off with Andi Arndt behind the mic and you’ve got romance gold.
