Summary

Took a while

This didn’t grab me immediately but I enjoyed it well enough by the end. Augustus is a fascinating historical character and this novel about his life after the death of Gail’s Caesar features lots of real people none of whose characters we can ever really know which makes speculating a lot of fun.
