Fabulous Sun Soaked Stunner with plenty of twists

I am a big fan of Sabine Durrant, but this has to be my favourite of all time. It had me gripped from the get go. As a fan of Hustle and The Real Hustle, this was right up my street and I just ate it all up especially the exotic locales and the underlying psychology.
I loved the characters and found them intriguing and very well thought through.

I could write more but for once this book ticked all my boxes, delighted, entertained and had some great twists and turns - had been dragging my feet through a lot of lacklustre murder mystery thrillers so I was just so thrilled when this blew my socks off.

More please, just like this one Sabine :-)

Fantastic story - had it all!

Haven’t given a book 5 stars for a while now and I listen to a lot! It was great listening from the start with excellent narration. I also liked the protagonist which is sometimes very difficult. I’m staggered that authors don’t get that, if you don’t like any of the main characters, it’s hard to enjoy the book.
I don’t like giving away too much in a review I’ve been put off many a book because someone has written ‘very disappointing ending’ or ‘why did he have to die at the end’. Best review I can give is if you like a cracking good story then this is one.

Compelling and well written

Perfect sun lounger holiday read. A compelling, well written page turner with evocative descriptions of Southern France in August.

The audible book for this summer

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Difficult to critique without spoilers but the setting of this book takes you to rural France and the author captures the scene so well. You will be transported to villas and markets and sunflowers but it is not a twee holiday romance type book . There is intrigue and voyages into the mind of a con artist. There are characters who you will ponder about and perhaps you might have seen on holidays. Narrator is excellent and really lifts the book to a superb level. It is a slow burn but the pace of the book makes the reveal even more satisfying.

Brilliant narration, makes a good story 'great'

It's a pity Sofia Zervudachi doesn't read more thriller books, she makes them sooo much better.
Great book, definitely worth the credit (but then all Sabine Durrant's book are).

Nice surprise

Loved this book not something I would usually go for but after seeing a good review gave it a go. Will be looking for more from this author. Loved the narrator as well.

Compulsive!

I couldn’t stop listening to this dark and compulsive trouble-in-paradise thriller. It is a brilliant twisting story and written beautifully.
