Summary
Kacey Chance is a former actress turned detective. Luckily for her, acting skills come in handy during investigations.
The LA detective agency she works for is unlike any she's ever seen in the movies. It's run by three handsome, single brothers and their sassy grandmother. Kacey loves her new job. Working as a detective is the role of a lifetime.
Kacey's latest assignment is to investigate a suspicious workplace accident. The victim, who worked at local hangout Rockburger, is seeking a large cash settlement.
A stakeout at the victim's residence reveals nosy neighbors and colorful roommates who drop hints that nothing about this accident is quite as it appears. Plus, there's a mysterious stranger calling in anonymous tips.
It's up to Kacey to solve the mystery of the stunt double trouble, even though it may cost her dearly.
There are plenty of laughs and tons of twists in this feel-good cozy mystery from author Maisie Dean!
Cozy mystery rating: No graphic violence, sex, or swearing. This clean, easy listen is perfect for lunch breaks, car trips with the family, or relaxing at the end of the day!

A lunch time who done it
Narrated just right to give a joyous who done it story, light and a good length to listen to while doing chores and then sitting with a cuppa.

Highly entertaining, mad cap, mystery
A fun mystery that had me laughing out loud. The narrator does a wonderful job with the characters who are all quite quirky and lots of fun. The story is fast paced and full of surprises! Kacey certainly knows how to get herself into bother with hilarious consequences.
I enjoyed listening to this book as much as the first and I look forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reading audio copy.

Great Read
Stunt Double Trouble (Brooker Brothers Detective Agency #2) was another great book by Maisie Dean. Kacey is now a detective at the Brooker Brothers Detective Agency. Kacey must now investigate a workplace accident that seems suspicious. The victim is seeking a large cash settlement. The victims neighbors and roommate seem to drop hints that the accident isn’t as it seems. I enjoyed reading Kacey and the brothers investigating this case. I can’t wait to read more by Maisie Dean.

Stunt Double Trouble
Once again Kasey and the Booker brothers are embroiled in a case that is suppose to be simple. An work related injury needs investigating and Kasey and Lucky are on a stakeout when Lucky leaves to go get something to eat. Unfortunately he is gone for over six hours which pits her in a bind for a break. Now she feels like she’s crossed professional lines and is on the brother’s bad list. But there’s something about this case that won’t let her quit.
Marie Hoffman brings each character to life and give them each a personality.
Fantastic audio and story!

Seeing Double
Helping her bosses on a routine insurance case leads to confusion and danger for Kacey when the victim in the case turns out to be much more than she seems.
This was an interesting story that kept me wondering exactly what was going on until very late in the story ... and I confess that I hadn't seen the real culprit coming.
Well read and worth your time.

Big surprise ending!
family-dynamics, private-investigators, mystery, situational-humor, verbal-humor, no-gratuitous-erotica, cozy-mystery
Take three very different brothers, their boss/mother, a recent hire who sort of gave up on the acting thing, make them all private investigators in one office and give them what looks like a very routine assignment. What could possibly go wrong?
Kacey is getting the hang of things but things sort of get out of hand. Doesn't stop the fun, though! A nice read with a thoughtful reality check at the end. Not to do a spoiler, but honors to the author.
Narrator Marie Hoffman is great as audio interpreter!

Suspenseful & fun!
I’m a big fan of this ‘new to me’ series! The characters are all a lot of fun, and thus far both books have been clean without any death. But even without any murder the stories are suspenseful and thrilling. There is absolutely no boredom or lull time, the stories move fast paced and each detail is important to the final solution!

Enjoyable cozy!
Kacey is at it again with her boys at Booker Brothers. Kacey and the guys are hired to investigate a possible insurance scam when a young waitress is hurt at work and incapacitated. As Kacey and the boys stake out her place they become intrigued by her roommate, a goth waitress by the name of Busty. As the mystery unfolds Kacey thinks there may be more than meets the eye on this case. As always Kacey steps in it and puts herself in harms way. I enjoy this series and am interested to discover which off limits brother she ends up with. I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

More, Please
This is one of my new favorite cozy mystery series... It reminds me of the Stephanie Plum Series in writing style but is MUCH cleaner- so I absolutely love them. I read the first book and was hooked and this one does a great job continuing the story with a new mystery that keeps you completely engaged in the story with twists and turns and an ending that you don't see coming. The narration was well done and a real joy to listen to. My only complaint is that this book really didn't bring me any closer to figuring out which of the hot Booker Brothers she ends up with.
