Summary
Storm at Keizer Manor, a triple award winning time travel romance novel.
While her boyfriend Forrest searches for a job, quick witted Annet works at the Keizer Manor where the oils from 19th century master painter Alexander Keizer are exhibited.
After a fight, the couple strolls through the dunes. When dark clouds roll in, the beautiful sunny weather turns into a thunderstorm so violent that they get separated.
The next morning, Forrest finds himself alone. So does Annet.
Regaining consciousness in a monastery, Annet is convinced the nuns are playing a prank on her. It can't be the 1800's! She's a pregnant twenty-first century woman and doesn't belong there. But how will she get back to her own time?

Storm at Keizer Manor
This is the perfect book if you are looking for time travel. There is a lot of back and forth between time as you will see what is going on with both main characters but not so much that it will be confusing. To watch all of these people find their true happiness after such a phenomenal change is such a joy to listen to. I hope to see more from this author in the future.
Narration with this book was done very well.

Good read
Good read/listen. I do enjoy a good fictional story and time travel is always an interesting concept. The writer introduced interesting characters and kept me captivated with the story throughout the whole book. I enjoyed the narrating by Susan Marlowe.

Captivating Listen!
Storm at Keizer Manor by Ramcy Diek is amazing. I was pulled into the story immediately with its vivid imagery, artwork, the endearing characters. I love how the author wrote this time travel adventure. The descriptions, the feelings, the details, were all so real. I loved the mystery of Annet in this book. The twists the author wrote were so well done. Susan Marlowe was incredible in her performance. I could hear exactly who was speaking. She brought the characters to life with her emotions. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will most definitely listen to more books by this talented author and narrator. The ending of this book was perfect.

An enjoyable listen, great story idea
I found this a relaxing escapism book, interesting enough to keep me coming back to it and looking forward to seeing what happens while not being ‘listen all night and get no sleep’ gripping (and that’s a good thing for me except on rare occasions!). I thought the story idea was super and well thought through, an enjoyable ending too. There were a few times though that I didn’t quite connect with the characters, and occasionally found myself a bit irritated by something they said or did, particularly Annette, but hey you can’t love everyone and on the whole they were well developed and believable. The narration was very good, I always knew who was speaking and the pacing was perfect, great job well done. I did have to get used to the narrator’s accent which at first I found took me from the story slightly as she has very distinct dropped ‘t’s which kept shifting my attention to the accent, but I did get used to it and noticed less after a while, it probably wouldn’t seem noticeable to an American listener. I expect it was quite a personal thing as just sounded strange to my ears and intriguing rather than bad per se. On the whole I’m glad I spent the time listening to this book and would certainly recommend it for anyone interested in the genre with a mix of modern day and historical. Great cover too! I requested a copy of this book as part of a free promotion and have chosen to leave this honest review.

Captivating time travel romance
Storm at Keizer Manor, literally picks you up and sweeps you from the 21st century into the 19th, then forward again you get the POV of both main characters. I enjoy time travel stories and this one held my interest from start to finish. It has angst, some art & historical history, and a beautiful love story.
Susan Marlowe narrator did an excellent job telling this story.
Thank you Ramay Diek for gifting me this audible book.

Unique, beautiful story
I enjoyed the unique storyline with dual time periods. Placing a modern day woman in a historical setting made for some interesting conflicts. Annett, Forrest, and Alex were all wonderfully written characters. The narrator brought the story to life and did great with distinguishing between characters.

Time travel romance
Annet find herself traveling to 19th century, the creator of the paintings of Keizer manor, the paintings she was helping organise in the 21st century. Now she finds herself between staying or going back in time. The audiobook was good, the narrator Susan Marlow did a good job, I found the audiobook enjoyable and not monotonous, the voice changes where subtle but worked.

Engaging time travel novel
Annet and Forrest are high school sweethearts whose lives are turned upside down when Annet unexpectedly falls pregnant. While she deals with the implications of her pregnancy, Annet continues to work at the Keizer Museum, famous for its paintings by Alexander Keizer, as they prepare to celebrate its 200 year old anniversary.
On the evening of the celebration, however, Annet and Forrest take a stroll in the sand dunes. Suddenly a freak storm breaks out which results in the two becoming separated. When Annet comes to, she finds herself in a monastery in the year 1840 and rescued by none other than Alexander Keizer himself, to whom she feels an instant connection.
Meanwhile, back in the 21st century, a frantic Forrest searches for Annet and finds himself a suspect as they had quarrelled prior to Annet’s disappearance. While the previously independent Annet struggles to conform to the life and restrictions of 19th century, Forrest must endure the stares and accusations aimed at him by others. Will fate intervene once more and send her back to the father of her baby or will she find love with Alexander?
Storm at Keizer Manor is an engaging time travel novel and was my first introduction to the author. Fans of Outlander will recognise the similarities about a woman who travels back in time and finds love. That’s where the parallels end however. Annet is a relatable - albeit at times flawed - protagonist who readers won’t help empathising with. The prospect of having to give birth without the aid of 21st century medicine, in an era where the mortality rate during childbirth would have been relatively high, is enough to send anyone in a panic.
I was impressed by the way the author managed to weave a story that transitions back and forth between both timelines without ever becoming disjointed. The author’s descriptive writing and historical detail offered great insight into the 19th century and made each one of her time frames come alive. Readers will find themselves torn between the new relationships being formed and wanting to see the reunion between Annet and Forrest. There are enough twists and turns to keep the reader engaged and an ending that I for one, didn’t see coming. I’ll definitely be looking out for future works from the author.

Mysterious - Entertaining - Sweet - Emotional
This was a wonderful story, and I loved that it didn't end the way that I anticipated that it might halfway through the book. You know when you can guess how things are going to turn out? That didn't happen and while perhaps down deep I wished it might of, I'm really happy with the spin the author chose to take. All of the characters were clearly defined and relatable, and the narrator did a splendid job - I'll be looking for more of her books. As a narrator myself, I can be a bit picky about the way a book is read/performed, and Susan Marlowe should be commended for her work. I think she's a rising star! And I hope that Ramcy Diek will have more books coming to audio soon, this one was a delight and I'd happy take a chance on her next release!
