Summary

Stori Telling is a chance for Tori to set the record straight on her personal life and to let listeners experience the truly unique life she's led - with its undeniable childhood privileges, tabloid misperceptions, career successes, and personal regrets. This is Tori's opportunity to define herself on her own terms.

Whereas her VH1 show So Notorious was brilliant, self-effacing satire, her memoir directly showcases the tabloid lies and scrutiny, her family and childhood (including a tour through the infamous Spelling mansion), her marriages, her scandalous divorce, her experiences as a new mom, and the empowering humor that stems from a private life made public caricature.

Few actresses have a personal story that's more unique and full of twists and drama than their roles. Tori's bestselling tell-all memoir is a juicy, eye-opening volume every bit as enthralling and addictive as one of her father's smash series.

Interesting and revealing

I had wondered in the past what on earth could have happened between Tori and her mother for there to have been so many ups and downs in their relationship (according to the press, of course). Now I know! Wow... for all that Aaron was warm, supportive, championing and loving, it appears from Tori herself that her mother was quite the opposite, right from the start. Imagine as a young girl being told by your mother straight to your face 'You WILL be beautiful, as soon as that nose is surgically fixed' !!! I found the music to be mostly distracting and too loud, but overall I enjoyed this glimpse into Tori's life. Now I am left wondering what happened to the remaining multi-million funds in her father's estate after she received her $1 million following his death. She didn't say but I guess her gold-grabbing mother got most of it... by the sounds of it, that is what she was most in love with anyhow, not Aaron himself, but his millions. How sad!
