Summary
THE INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!
“I like to think of Not All Diamonds and Rosé as the ultimate reunion. I know readers will be surprised, entertained, and even shocked at what’s in store." —Andy Cohen
Dave Quinn's Not All Diamonds and Rosé is the definitive oral history of the hit television franchise, from its unlikely start in the gated communities of Orange County to the pop culture behemoth it has become—spanning nine cities, hundreds of cast members, and millions of fans.
What is it really like to be a housewife? We all want to know, but only the women we love to watch and the people who make the show have the whole story. Well, listen in close, because they’re about to tell all.
Nearly all the wives, producers, and network executives, as well as Andy Cohen himself, are on the record, unfiltered and unvarnished about what it really takes to have a tagline. This is your VIP pass to the lives behind the glam squads, testimonials, and tabloid feuds.
Life’s not all diamonds and rosé, but the truth is so much better, isn’t it?
“This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. Fans will delight to read about how it all got started.”
—New York Post

Critic reviews
“[Not All Diamonds and Rosé] spills the tea (or the rosé, if you prefer) on the reality empire with extensive reporting from the series' casts, producers, executives, and more.” (Entertainment Weekly)
“As sweeping as it is scandalous.... Fans will drink this up as quickly as the Housewives would a glass of champagne.” (Publishers Weekly)
“This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. Fans will delight to read about how it all got started, which fired housewives are angriest with Andy Cohen - and a shocking, never-before-revealed incident that happened when the New Jersey cast went to Punta Cana. No wonder the book sold out after it was first released.” (New York Post)

This would have been a great book but the narrator is awful. Her impression of each woman she is talking about absolutely puts you off. I turned off after the first chapter as it was so irritating and hard to follow

Narration
Narrator so bad . Imitation of everyone’s voice is so bad . Book is really good but she’s so annoying. She only imitated anyone white as they were fair game but anyone of color or from another country she didn’t imitate. Had it just been read normal it would have been so good. But she ruined it

A must read if you are a housewives fan
I am a huge housewives fan and am absolutely loving this book so far! Some of the impressions are quite good but others are a bit off the mark. Great to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes, and about stories we’ve seen on tv from all different points of view.

must have for housewives fans
really enjoyed this, a rounded view and loved to get behind the scenes. the producers and people from the networks views helped shed light on the real story and have helped justify some of what we thought we saw on the show but weren't sure.

The impressions were distracting
I am a housewives addict!
I love this book but I kinda wish it just bought it in physical form as the impressions from the reader were really off putting.

Came for the gossip, stayed for the Kelly Dodd impression!
An easy listen to do the housework to. Some people have complained about the voice impressions but they weren’t too distracting and the Kelly Dodd one had me in fits every time it came on.. I’m guessing she wasn’t Amy Phillips favorite housewife! 🤣

If you like awful imitations, read on
The narrator is awful. She tries too hard to imitate each housewife, and she's awful. I waited for this audiobook, and it sucks. Skip it and save your credit.

All quotes
This book is a narrator reading one quote after the other… no story line and it’s very difficult to listen to.

Not a good book for audio.
It’s not Amy’s narration - she’s actually very good - but having to identify the speaker every sentence or two made it hard to stay engaged with the story and I finally gave up.

REVIEW
The whole 'book' is nothing but a review of the shows. Name of character, what they said. Name of character, what they said.
Name of character, what they said......... 20 HOURS AND 30 MIN OF NAME OF CHARACTER AND WHAT THEY SAID.........
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

If you’re a real fan!
If your a real fan, it’s worth it. Yes, Amy Phillips does impressions, but that’s what they are, impressions. Real fans know Amy from her appearances of WWHL and her radio show on Radio Andy. She’s amazing and does the book well! I didn’t even realize I was on chapter 7 after I started, it’s that good!
And I love all her impressions!

pathetic imitations I rather have a ebook reader
no excuse but a little money saved on the worst case scenario and mocking in clowns and unable to make it through the awfully and some people who have been made to sound like a farce and as if the ex of all nightmares from Christmas past has been allowed to do you imitate and defamatory or with your reviews and myself to claim that I prefer the ebook of the robotic and inhuman voice over the Sonja Morgan (one of the worst possible versions of the person imputation in pure torture is impossible to listen to) I waited for the audible version and returned the ebook and wish it was the other way round! Dorinda was another awful imitation added 10, 000 fold and Margaret Josephs is another awfully imputation, among many more and I wonder if the powers that be the people who produced the audio version could actually allow the particular reading as read through by this reader and a book as awaited for and in demand as this can get released in this format when people prefer the robotic ebook version to the many months waiting for the audio version to come out and then realize that it is almost the worst audio reader of a top selling book that I see I gave 5 stars to the story 1 star the performance 2 star overall putting the overall story together in the awfully performance! redo this whole audio book again please let everyone who purchased this swap and replace the new 🙏 reader 🙏 with this pitiful release

Insightful, but hard to listen to
This is probably great as a book, but not as an audiobook. The impressions of the cast members were a bit much.

A bunch of quotes
It’s not for me. I tried to listen but since the book has soooo many quotes and told from a third person perspective, it just doesn’t flow. Disappointed.
