There is a lot of good advice and wisdom in this book. I especially like his anecdotes about the snoring guitarist and the drummer in the bath...I couldn't keep myself from laughing really loud on the train home from work, at that part.

As an up and coming independent musician I really appreciate Damiens YouTube channel. It’s a great resource and so is this book. Lots of great nuggets of wisdom spread throughout that I will definitely keep in mind as I continue to pursue my career.

I recently found Damian Keyes online looking for information about releasing music. The main takeaway I got from this book is to be disciplined in everything you do. The author has an infectious enthusiasm for all things musician. This book is useful even for people like me who have been playing music for nearly forty years. Top marks.

Ever since coming across Damian Keyes on youtube I have been hooked on his videos and advice. I have structured my plans as a musician purely on his youtube videos. This book did not dissapoint, it was written by a true lover of music who understands the heart of a musician. Listen closely to the advice in this book and follow the instructions as closely as you can. Quick and easy read. Although this book is tailored for bands, I still got a lot from it as a Grime MC.

I brought this as someone who likes to make music in their spare time and although a lot of the book is directed at professional musicians it is interesting to hear about.
A lot of the pointers can also be used in whatever job or creative aspect you are involved with.

Worth a listen even if you’re not a professional musician

After watching many videos regarding the music industry and how to progress as a musician on Damian’s YouTube channel, I was looking forward to listening to this audio book. The book itself has a tonne of really great information along with suggested methods of how to apply it to either yourself or your band (if you are apart of one).

I specifically enjoyed the 30 day challenge where Damian lists off 30 different things you can do to kick start the road to success.

I really enjoyed the book, it discusses a lot of subjects that nearly every artist overlooks whilst still offering practical solutions and habits to fall into.

I’ve been watching Damian‘s videos online for a few months now and each video I took away something important and discovered noticeable change. So I thought what would reading an entire book of his do?! I was not disappointed and this book has allowed me to look at myself and my future and truly understand what I need to do in short and long-term goals. I will 100% be reaching out to Damian at some point but first things first I’m getting my house in order
