Still enjoyable.
The story is dragging a bit now. We are on book six and Mari and her fella's relationships should be further forward now. Shadow finally gets time with Mari to have a broken heart. I love Shadow's character, I feel his pain and suffering. Mari is loyal to him. I know she'll make it right.
The story has a long way to go, I wouldn't read the 10-book series again. However, I am enjoying it for the most part.
Both narrators are brilliant, full credit to them.

Brilliant adaptation
Painless: This series is the pefect blend of Myth's. MC's, adventure love and mystery. We lear more about Freya the goddess of love, beauty. fertility sex and war. That she has chosen to be Mari's guide is a sign of things to come. Shadow is coming out of his shell thanks to Mari's infulence. Mair now has three men doting on her is it wrong that she wants a forth.
I am so team shadow.
This is a brilliant read.
Helpless: Mari continues to be strong and indapendant. The Steel Demon have had to take refuge in Four Corners . When the goveners daughter is taken. Mari volunteers to go on the rescue misson. This does not go smoothly.
This is another great read
Heartless: So much happens in this book. Families are reunited. Danger is never far from the Steel Demons, and now they are determined to eliminate the leaders and those close to them.
The Shadow, Mari story line is heart breaking.
The narration on all these books is awesome.
