Summary
"Do you want some Goldfish crackers, Bliss?"
Those were the last words my brother said to me before he was shot execution style. A childhood code only he and I knew, and one that had a single, clear meaning behind it.
Run.
I'm not going anywhere. Not when his murderer is still out there.
To catch a killer, I put aside my life of money and luxury and take over the running of Psychos, a dive bar in the seedy underbelly of Saint View.
But Psychos delivers more than I ever could have bargained for and three men I never saw coming.
Nash, my brother's best friend. Older and more experienced, he still remembers me as the neglected child he once saved.
War, heir to a biker gang throne and searching for the man who left his mother in a coma. Bonded over a common goal, he introduces me to a world of after-hours clubs, danger, and violence.
And Vincent, the quiet new guy nobody seems to see except me. He's sweet and quirky, but there's a darkness in him just waiting to be unleashed.
With every lie we uncover, every secret we expose, the danger mounts.
Until there's only one thing we know for sure.
The killer is still out there.
And we're his next targets.
Start a War is an adult #whychoose romance, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This book contains romantic suspense/dark themes that may trigger some listeners. It is the first book in an ongoing trilogy.

Start A War is an exciting start to this dark trilogy. I loved the characters, each complex in their own way and wonderfully brought to life by the great narrators.

What a listen!
I finished this title in 2 days! If you like racey, hot, naughty books then this is one for you!
I love that Bliss is a curvy woman. Someone like me can totally relate with her. I just wish I had her sex life!
Definitely a few twinges here and there. So worth it!

AN EXCITING, HOT, UNPREDICTABLE RH ROLLERCOASTER
My first from Elle Thorpe but, after finishing this amazing and addictive trilogy, it certainly won’t be my last because her layered characters and their rollercoaster journey was so damn good. And it was brought to life with some seriously good performances by Gregory and Michelle who delivered a five star trilogy. But beware and tread lightly because there’s violence, darkness, rape, MM sex and sexy multiple partner scenes too.
Psychos is a shady Bar that Bliss inherits after her brothers mysterious death (execution style) and it’s where she learns the true meaning of worth, love and family and the acceptance that she’s beautiful no matter her size. Thanks to the three sexy men she meets on the way.. or maybe it’s four? because one of them has a very endearing shy and quirky-to-murderous, fun and psychotic flip personality. And this well-written, very addictive, multiple point of view Trilogy goes through layers of chemistry and sizzles.. suspense and drama.. light fun, thrills and dark chills.. and turmoil and torture. Plus, there’s hot Reverse Harem sex scenes and great character growth too as Bliss and fifteen years older brother’s best friend Nash, Biker President Ace and sweet quirky Vincent/deadly but charismatic Scythe manoeuvre and mould themselves into a very loving and very unconventional family. But there’s sinister villains too who plan all sorts of evil threats and leave derailment and destruction in their wake.
Worth a credit? We’re talking three here and, for me, yes each and every one of them is creditworthy. However, neither of the Epilogues had the ‘all important’ information I was desperate to find out. No, instead you have to log onto Elle Thorpe’s .com website and sign up for the Bonus Epilogue which, IMO, SHOULD’VE BEEN INCLUDED AT THE END OF BOOK THREE.. BOO HOO &🤬. Because I really didn’t want to have to do all that, I really really didn’t want to have to ‘actually’ read it and I really really really didn’t want to loose the flow of the character’s story in my head. I know some authors do this.. but I HATE it ☹️.. okay rant over - back to 🙂.

Love the narration
9/10 recommend for me. I really did enjoy the story line. It was multiple POV.
What takes away from it is Bliss herself, the fmc. She borderlines on a tstl character. Some ppl love a damsel as a fmc but I hope to see bliss grow a backbone and not be this foolish little mouse that she comes off as in the following books. The duet narration really kept me interested in the story.

Definitely give it a listen!!
This book is non stop action. I typically listen to/ read books that have long periods of world and plot building. However this is a refreshing change. This book builds plot but without the slowness of some longer novels that I have read. There is always something interesting happening I cannot recommend enough.

Ummmm…
Ummmm… what the heck did I just listen too?? Lol so good but man, that was crazy. These guys are amazing and I just love them all!! I will say I’m a fan of Bliss but Bethany Melissa is annoyingly weak. The first 1/3 of the book I wanted to choke her. So weak and spineless but she’s getting together. 😉

Ohhhhh Lawdy!
Grab your fans, friends, because this series will have you all sorts of steamy. This isn't a cheap romance novel with weak character relationships and cringey, immature interactions. The author builds incredible relationships with believability and a delicious pace of tension. There are some very dark plot points, but I always felt like they were presented organically and not forced.
