About this listen

AJ Beckett is just trying to get Parker, her seven-year-old autistic daughter, through life in one piece. As a paramedic, AJ puts others' needs above her own; in her personal life, she keeps everyone an arm's length away. That distance disappears when a chance run-in with actor Melanie Cooper leaves her sticky, angry, and fed up.

Melanie Cooper has just signed her last movie. The media keeps portraying her as cold and hard to work with, and Mel has absolutely nothing more to give. As she begins to imagine a new life, a challenging part of her past comes back on the scene, determined to cause problems for Mel.

After a series of coincidental meetings, AJ battles her desire for control while Mel struggles with trust. Despite the challenges and complications, Mel finds herself drawn to the Beckett ladies, and AJ can't deny their connection, either.

Falling in love has never been so sweet.

A fun romance with delightful characters. A quite common subject the film star and the single mother but It is great to see an autistic character being featured. Loved them all especially Parker. Abby Craven is the perfect narrator for this lovely story

This book is cute, fun, sexy and a pleasure to read. The family dynamics are beautiful and the slow burn romance is lovely. I listened to the audio and Abby Craden brought it all to life perfectly as always

What a debut

They're not reinventing the wheel here but they don't have to, very cute characters, cute love story, cute kid, cute ending.

What a gorgeous story start to finish about how your actions around others can really have an impact.

Heart warming storyline

The subject matter is great. A little girl, who's on the autism spectrum is an engaging character in a sweet story. The other main characters are constructed with depth and insight too. However, it may be my lack of understanding but, it is hard to imagine someone on the autism spectrum would be a successful actor as communication is usually a problem for autistic people.

While the structure of the book overall is fine it seems to have been written without a lot of care, or maybe in a rush, as it doesn't flow. It is also in need of a good editor to correct chapter, paragraph and sentence structure. There are also clunky comment, asides, and strange adjective and adverb choices, which don't really work.

Story is great but writing is poor

I can hear a quick breath after each sentence, Impossible to focus on anything else.

Horrible aufio

Free so okay ! A romance that seems hashed together, I know it's fiction but on what planet is it okay to let a seven year old (with or without ADHD) go on a flight alone ?????
This audiobook just doesn't seem very well rounded, there are questions left all over the place. It's free so worth a listen.
