True revelation of the Holy Spirit
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I’m a Christian for over 19 years and I’ve never understood the purpose and the need of the Holy Spirit as I now do after listening to this audio. The testimonials are so powerful and encouraging. It has changed the way I now pray.

Frequently while listening to this inspired book, I found myself overwhelmed by an awareness of God's closeness. It rekindled a deeper hunger in my life for an active an alive connection with the Spirit of God. It moved me to tears more times than I'd like to admit, and even at the end, what I find myself wanting to do is simply find a quiet place to seek His face.

If you could sum up Spirit Rising in three words, what would they be?

What did you like best about this story?
The examples of redeemed souls allowed me to understand the title of the book. Indeed our spirits rise from the depths of despair when we surrender our hearts to Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to control our lives.
What about Jim Cymbala’s performance did you like?
He is very animated and you can picture the scenes in the stories with your mind's eye. He was clear, concise, and emphatic. Surely, if you had no idea whom the Holy Spirit was you would want to go search for him.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Read this book!
I have never heard of Jim Cybala and read this on a whim. And I am floored by how powerful and special this book is. It is so tender and true and spirit directed. I promise you that it will build you as a follower of Christ Jesus.

What an Anointing!!!
Would you listen to Spirit Rising again? Why?
I will listen to this audiobook again and again and again, I learned so much abut the Holy Spirit, Pastor Cymbala has a vast knowledge of the Holy Spirit and the arrangement of the chapters were right on time.
I brought this listen to understand more and I got more then i expected.
What other book might you compare Spirit Rising to and why?
Honestly this is a one of a kind. I brought books on the Holy Spirit before this one and I returned one and the others were just ok.
What about Jim Cymbala’s performance did you like?
Absolutely, his knowledge, and his storytelling skills simply was enjoyable..
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but I didn't have that kind of time, but I did it in 2 sittings.

If you are looking to learn about the Holy Spirit, His illustrations, His power and glory this is the listen.

Important message
I learned many things from the book. There is several stories of real people, sometimes quite graphic, but they add the message in a good way.
This is a good book about Holy Spirit and I think important to all Christians. This book answers well the question why we need Holy Spirit.

An eye opener for me
When you are in your walk with Christ and you are entering into the Spirit realm, you need help navigating.
Hearing these testimonies of the life changing power of the Holy Spirit encourages you and strengthens your resolve to keep the faith.
The most memorable part of this book is the confirmation that God protects His own.
To hear the same words in which the Holy Spirit spoke to me about the church and the role of its leaders was powerful.

Wonderful book on Holy Spirit
This is a book that defies the polemic categories that so many in the Christian world try to set up. It uses Scripture as well as contemporary examples of the Holy Spirit at work in the people of God in ways that will encourage, instruct, and challenge you. This is a new addition on my list of books I recommend in discipleship. Give it a read.
