Summary

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish, read by Martin Freeman, is the fourth instalment in Douglas Adams' bestselling Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy 'trilogy'.

There is a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. It's not an easy thing to do, and Arthur Dent thinks he's the only human who's been able to master this nifty little trick – until he meets Fenchurch, the woman of his dreams.

Fenchurch once realized how the world could be made a good and happy place. Unfortunately, she's forgotten. Convinced that the secret lies within God's Final Message to His Creation, they go in search of it. And, in a dramatic break with tradition, actually find it . . .

Follow Arthur Dent's galactic (mis)adventures in the last of the 'trilogy of five', Mostly Harmless.

So long and thanks for this book

So Long and Thanks for All the Fish the fourth book in a series of 3 is delightfully funny and will take you on a journey across the galaxy with poor old Arthur Dent beside you. Douglas Adams returns to the scene with another fantastic edition to Hitch Hikers bringing a barrage of laughter and razor sharp wit

Great story but

The story is great but Martin Freeman sounds like he has a blocked nose for half of it.

A very funny book

The story really convinced me that it was a radio program and it’s incredibly funny!

must read

The series has really engaged me. I think its the realisation explanations of real life as they would be...about ridiculously crazy things. i find myself just accepting things.

Book four of the Hitchhiker's Trilogy

All though the most offbeat of all the Hitchhiker's novels, this is still as witty and intelligent as Adams' writing at its best.

An Obvious choice

This “trilogy” scarcely needs a review at all such is it’s towering literary stature but this 5 star one is just really to add that despite what you may be told in other reviews, Martin Freeman does an impeccable job with the narration. Truly first class👌🏻
(It’s just a shame we can’t erase the memory of his Arthur dent in the awful movie remake)
