Summary
A love story that was fueled by cocaine and birthed in the streets....
Azu Wilson gave his oldest daughter the name Snow because she was born amongst his snowfall on the city of Gary, Indiana in 2001. Then, Azu had just began to drop tons kilos of coke on the city, starting the birth of his empire.
Fast forward 18 years later, Snow is Azu's favorite girl and only daughter. She has been doted on by her father. Now, she is off to college with her best friends, Tristan and Bae. They hope that their move out of the violent streets of Chicago to Tallahassee will bring positive change to the brutally savage lives they have lived.
However, "wherever arms flow, violence follows". Amongst the excitement of Freshmen year, college parties, and pledging, Snow is forced to return to Chicago in order to rescue her family from sudden hardship and misery.
Unbeknownst to her, she receives the help that she needs from one of Azu's most trusted crew members, Zo. Zo encourages her to make the biggest move of her life, as he falls violently for the brown-skinned beauty. Snow isn't interested, however. Her focus is on her family. Yet, having been raised by a hustla, wouldn't she be moved to fall in love with one?

Stop putting this Narrator on Urban Books.
I’m sure this story is good, but I’ve tried to listen to Audiobooks that Jay Miranda has narrated and I could never get into the books. This genre of books is not for her period!! Her voice is immature and doesn’t have the power we need for street novels. We need IIkane, Nicole Small, Cary Hite, Mr. Gates, Jakobe Diem and other narrators in this class on these books strictly!!

the narrator was a bit too young for my taste
although I didn't grow up in Detroit they grow up in La so the storyline is believable but the narrator was a bit too Young for me so the book is not as exciting as it could have been

Good Book - Wrong Narrator
The story was a great story. However, the narrators voice is ALL KINDS OF WRONG for urban fiction. All wrong.

I love the storyline, needs a new narrator for the female parts, she was very boring and it took me a while to get into the book!

Hard to finish
This Narrator would be a good fit for Paula Hawkins or Gillian Flynn books but, bad choice for Urban books. Jay’s voice did not portray the character very well. I don’t know if I’ll listen to part 2.
