Summary

Place Your Bets, Winner Kills All!

From the author of Phantasm Exhumed comes Slash of the Titans, a revealing look at why it took New Line Cinema nearly 10 years and four-million-dollars to find the right screenplay for Freddy vs Jason. Featuring new interviews with the original writers and filmmakers, Slash details the production's troubled history from the surprise ending of Jason Goes to Hell all the way to the crossover’s red carpet premiere. Hear about the many rejected storylines and learn how the project was eventually able to escape from development hell. This is the story of one film, two horror icons and 17 screenwriters!

Pre production hell is well documented!

Even being a lurker on Friday the 13th community forums, and buying the bootleg Peter Briggs draft in the mid 90s, there’s so much brand new information about the making & pre production of Freddy vs Jason to be found in this book! Highly recommended!

Loved it!

Loved this audiobook, as a fan of both franchises growing up. Teenage me badly wanted to know how this movie would turn out. I was at Odeon cinema for the first showing of the 2003 film and I enjoyed it for what it was. This book is packed with information on what could of been. I was disappointed to learn of a videogame that never happened (and it actually sounded decent). They also managed to squeeze in the plot of the Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash in at the end... it sounded like it would of been a entertaining movie, again I feel robbed as I certainly would of paid to of seen that on the big screen. If you like the source material, then give it a listen.
