Summary

Threadbare has not had a very good time of it recently. His little girl has been taken from him, and he must travel the kingdom, finding allies old and new, living and dead, to help him rescue Celia.

Fortunately, he's got a voice now and access to all those fun skills he couldn't before use. He may only be a very small teddy bear, but he's got the persistence to plow through dungeons of rascally raccoon monsters, the wiles to turn a town full of undead on its ear, and the sanity to survive an encounter with a mediocre old one.

However, Threadbare's little girl is growing up now, and her own path is hard and brutal. Will she even have a use for her old teddy bear when they meet again? Will they both survive the encounter?

Warning: Contains profanity, violence, and a creepy villain who likes tentacles way too much.

Nice entertainment

I like the first half of the book and I thought Mrs Fluff Bear was funny, but towards the end it all became a bit too incoherent for me. Tim's performance is first class as usual, but I think I'll leave it at this and won't get the next one in the series.

Pleasantly surprised, better than the first book

Man, does this story go places I did not expect, in a good way.

It keeps the pressure on, the dark feel of the world keeps up.

The naivete of the characters (and the reader with them) is just relentlessly stripped away.

The YA feel of the first book is just melted away in this book.

GOOD BOOK

I have over 300 audible titles and I have to say that the narration and performance of this book is one of the best I've heard. It's a compelling universe with a great story and awesome characters

Great sequel

Loved this, both sweet and dark with the same charm as the first book. Narration was great even though I wasn't sold on Threadbare's voice.
