Helpful for recovering people pleasers

I have been looking for a balanced approach to being assertive yet respectful and inclusive of others' perspectives. When I was younger, I was told I was too direct and competitive, so I repressed those tendencies and have become a people pleaser. The strategies presented in this audio book for saying no in a way that is respectful and empathetic are a perfect way for me to allow my assertive nature to balance the conflict-avoidance I have gotten into the habit of using.
