Summary

Grace Riley is on the run - from her past and from her fears. The victim of a violent rape at the hands of a rich politician's son, she must "disappear" to escape his constant attempts to recapture her. Moving from cattle drive to cattle drive as a cook, she avoids her tormentor for nearly 20 years. When she discovers that the brother she gave up for adoption after their mother died in childbirth was orphaned at an early age, she is frantic to verify that he's safe. She tracks him to a cattle ranch in Montana.

Widower Adam Morgan owns the Twin Springs ranch, but finds himself falling into a life of loneliness. Although he enjoys spending time with his grown daughter and the two men he rescued when they were living on the streets, he longs to meet a woman he can love. Living in the Montana territory where men greatly outnumber women makes finding a new wife difficult. Weary of working cattle, he is ready to make some changes in his life.

Grace falls ill on her journey, but she manages to make it to the Twin Springs ranch where her brother is supposed to be living. Adam takes her in, concerned for her health and the reason she's searching for one of his adopted sons. Their chemistry is immediate and intense; but can Grace heal from her past of pain and fear? When her secrets are finally revealed, can Adam forgive her deceptions and learn to love again?

Great story idea

This book had a great story idea, but did get a little wordy and long. I enjoyed the characters though.

Story was good but LOTS of soft porn

I would have really enjoyed the book if there hadn’t been so much soft porn in it. I actually fast forwarded through a lot of it. If you don’t mind very descriptive sex then you might enjoy it. I am passing on the rest of this series. So disappointed 😞

Good Book

The storyline was great. The narrator wasn’t very good. She would go into the next scene without breaking so it left you lost at times. I would have rewind and listen again. She also talked with a slow, drawled out tone that was nerve wrecking. I almost deleted the book. I’m happy that I continued and gave the book a chance, the storyline itself was well written. I look forward to continuing with the next book in the series although I don’t care much for the narrator as I mentioned earlier.

Average

The story is good but too drawn out. The narrator is average. I really didn’t like Stephen’s voice

Horrible Narrator

This was a predictable story but readable if the narrator had done a better job. She read the whole thing like she was reading to a kindergarten class. It was the most annoying narration ever! The book isn’t worth suffering through the narration.

sometimes less is more

storyline was good characters are interesting through the first half of the book I lost interest as the explicit sex scenes went from bad to worse instead of inspiring passion thoughts of chaffing an redundancy kept popping up

I really enjoyed the story. Full of drama and tense scenes. Love wins after all in the end.

Cynthia needs to get some excitement.

I liked the story, but the narrator was bland. It would put me to sleep.

Historical Romance

I'm sure some like historical romance. I don't care for it. The story begins in late 1800's.

WASTE OF MONEY

terrible storyline, terribly written, unrealistic and dumb. Terrible performance as well. Three chapters into it I wanted to give up because I was so annoying and bored. But since I spent money on it I figured I better wait it out and see if it gets better. It never did. I should have given up after the third chapter
