About this listen

She wanted to be a Necromancer, but awakened as a Saint! Somehow her summoned heroes are all undead?

How will the church react when their Saintess summons a skeleton in place of a mighty hero? Sofia isn’t too keen on finding out.

In this world, Gods choose [Saints], and [Saints] summon [Heroes] from other worlds; everyone knows that. But Sofia had a thing for bones ever since she was a child; there’s only one [Class] she wants: [Necromancer]! When, by the whims of fate, she gets both classes at the same time, the system breaks.

Two classes? That isn’t allowed!

It cannot be! The system’s administrators would not let it go… If only they were still there.

But they were not, and it was too late. Sofia saw an opportunity to abuse a loophole in the system, and she is just the kind of person who would try to stick her whole arm into said loophole if she could if only to see what happens.

So, what has the system, running by itself with its mysterious creator missing, done to mend the error? The two classes fused into one.

Sofia’s skills from the two classes were broken and mashed together. [Holy Light]? [Raise Skeleton]? What she receives is [Holy Skeleton] instead. But can she escape the Church’s grasp with her newfound powers, or is she destined to forever but some God’s pawn?

Follow Sofia as she unknowingly gets tangled in power struggles far beyond what she had bargained for.

With millions of views and thousands of followers, this was one of the most popular female-led web serials of 2023. Be ready for a wild ride as you experience the reworked and improved version of Sofia's Skeletal Shenanigans!

Weirdly Awesome

This is a weirdly good book, the premise is quite interesting with a holy class that is mixed with a necromancer class. The MC is fun and engaging with the narration bringing the story to life.

The characters

I loved the characters and they’re complexity they were really fun to follow and you really wanted to know what happens next. At times I also felt morales were brought up and questioned, with the fact of survival in a harsh and oppressive world. Yet the story felt uplifting I kept worrying the church was going to get them but the story isn’t baiting drama and makes it feel naturally flowing. Why would they worry about a girl they saw as an object and weak, which will ultimately be their down fall and add to her collection :) . Look forward to more and hope this gets a physical release.

Creative, unique and actually pretty charming

I did not expect much, but got a very decent, creative LitRPG.
The world building is pretty good, characters actually have some good motives and banter.

The odd thing is that some settings/scenes change fairly quickly, whereas others take some time to resolve, making the pacing a bit stop-start.

But overall, I am looking forward to more.

Intriguing

Narration was good and varied, the world building is interesting and left me wanting to know more about the world despite me being partially confused about the MCs past. The creeping dread atmospher was also down very well.

Such Splendid Story

Hello reader. I found this story quite some time before it was on amazon or audible, five hours after chapter 62 was posted. I've read a lot more of this story than is contained in this book.

As for why I like it?
The thing that first caught my attention was Sofia's class- classes? The system would really rather she just have the one. What this curious anomaly leads to is:
Her skills. It's less like she's being handed a set of skills, and more like she's being given broken parts of contradictory abilities (and duct tape) then told to "handle it". It's very interesting to think about what her options are whenever she gets new "skills", and I recommend pausing when she does to think it over! What might you make?

Secondly, the world is amazing. Sofia, and the reader, know little of the wider world at firsts but oh do we learn. With knowledge come questions of course, and be assured there are answers...
Another thing I like about this world is it's system. I shouldn't say much here, but... It was made once, and those responsible did not know all that would ever be. How could they?
And lastly, with my knowledge of the next few books I can tell you that things have only just begun!

...Here is where I was planning to include a couple snippets from my notes regarding this story, but most of the good lines would be spoilers. Instead I'll say something not entirely related:
As far as I can tell, I'm the first person to leave a text review. Does that mean I can say I beat Penthero?

PS: The narration is good too, and unless I'm mistaken it gets even better as the book progresses. I like the accents, and the delivery of the contents of a certain letter from the past is especially good.

Great characters

the story is good and has a few great mysterys. it loses its direction in a few places but that's OK. It balances the dark acts of the character with them questioning themselves and that's a good touch.
only thing that worries me is there is definitely some unconscious bias going on here, every straight male character is a ass, and ever female one is helpfull. it keeps through the whole book, so I hope it doesn't grow and ruin the story.

Level up hunting and reading of stats with a tiny bit of story mixed in

I like the concept of the story, but it would have been nice to have a bit more story in between the pure hunt for levels. Also the narrator is way too heavy handed with the astonished mysterious intonation. Like every other sentence when it's not pure reading of jumbled stats.

Meh

Disliked very much that I needed to listen to several "You have leveled up" and other several similar notifications.
Instead of simply saying "You have leveled, seven times. From level seven to fourteen".

Also disliked that I could hear the Narrator swallow alot.
Not sure if it was water or her own saliva, but I could hear her audible swallow at times between her lines.
