Short but not so sweet

Very 'mechanical' in approach and doesn't offer much enthusiasm. I wish I had looked elsewhere.

No accompanying material included

I only listened to the very beginning since the audiobook reffers the accompanying PDF file that isn't provided together with the book. The description doesn't mention that there is a PDF file included, but this situation discouraged me so much that it was the first book that I returned on Audible.

For the information, good, short, to the point.

The title explains it all. This is informative into a technical aspect of databases. I was just learning union statements. I'll give it a second listen.

This book tells you how to do stuff

It's very, dry, but it's all there. Downloading the accompanying .pdf is talked about in the first 3 minutes of starting the book/file and it's constantly referenced.

This book isn't fancy, doesn't explain extra stuff, it's kind of like a plain English version of a reference chart.

I'm in the process of learning SQL and feel I got a good sense of what it's capable of. It'd be good to listen to it while sitting in front of the computer ready to go.

Good for beginners

This is a great introduction to SQL. I took 2 semesters in college and just wanted a brush up. This covers pretty much everything that was in the 101 course. It was mentioned that there is no companion book download available. In the preface they give a link for the companion and as of June 2019 it's still available at that link. It has tables that you can reference as you go.
