The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Michael Pauley is one of the 8 narrators (so far), I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

this series is everything.. susan hawke is amazing.. this narrator does amazing with these characters.. it is like he is in their minds.. or in susans.. not sure which.. it is wonderful and interesting and keeps me curious and interested

What a perfect set up for bratty sassy Preston. I love the message here of not judging a person just by their behaviour. We learn how Preston has all the luxuries in life but his life doesn’t have much meaning. This changes in a matter of moments and he gets a Daddy. Bryan is the right Daddy for Preston. He has his faults but also knows just what Preston needs and as it turns out Preston is exactly what he needs. Their journey is certainly emotional and I was reaching for the tissues on more than one occasion.
Michael Pauley does a great job narrating this story. He enhances each character by bringing out their personalities. His performance as bratty sassy Preston is wonderful. Although I think Davey will always be my favourite.

Davey is back! Yay

Ooh this is a good one, I loved this one but hold on to some tissues as this book will reduce you to tears (If your like me more than once). I thought it was just going to be hilarious and hot but the book was so full of different emotions and heart breaking in places. It was a really enjoyable read and I loved the characters Michael Pauley did a wonderful job bringing them to life.

Preston Wallace is the biggest brat at Daddy's Lap. After witnessing a "daddy" forcing a young patron into sex in the toilets, Preston takes the daddy's clothes and throws them in the dumpster outside. He was asked by the frightened young man not to say anything and he kept his word even though it was thought he did it because the daddy wouldn't bottom for him.

Bryan is a daddy that thinks Preston can be turned into the kind of boy any daddy would want on his arm. Bryan moves Preston in with him for the bet, 90 days to turn him into a "good boy". But Preston tries to get away with finding other ways to get the jobs that Bryan gives him done. Eventually the secret comes out after Daddy's Lap owner Raphael suffers a heart attack. Preston makes friends with a resident at the elderly folks home he volunteers at.

It's a great caper and as usual read fabulously by Michael Pauley. Michael has captured Preston perfectly. It must be so hard having several male characters and finding a different voice for each of them in one section of conversation. You're amazing Mr Pauley.

Once again we meet Davey and his rules another was added in this as well. This book was a interesting listening too, so many good feeling in here but also some sad times as well. Michael Paulette has once again brought this to life and given it more depth then just reading it, I adore Susan Hawkes books just love the way she writes. Rubbing hands for the next book in this series.

So excited for Bryan and Preston's story and neither the author or the narrator disappoint! Susan Hawke has given us a perfectly bratty, sassy boy in Preston but with some serious heartbreak which can mostly explain his behaviour. Bryan takes a bet to turn Preston into a boy other daddy's would love to have within three months, and the two go on a journey that neither could have expected. It's filled with twists and turns as Preston fights for his independence but also yearns for the care and occasional instruction from his daddy. I loved how the two came together, slowly learning each other and the roles they have in their dynamic. There's a perfect balance of fun, strong emotion and learning moments. A couple of big events also bring bring the two together but it's interesting how being in a set way of thinking about yourself could lead you to lose that person altogether.......
Michael Pauley has done another fabulous job in narrating Susan's book. Preston has the perfect voice bringing forth his sense of entitlement and sheltered living, sass and attitude but also his softer side as he shows his true emotions during the tough times. Bryan is strong and adheres to his rules with Preston but is also happy having fun with his boy which comes across perfectly, especially in his wry chuckles.
Definitely a must listen, the series is so enjoyable and the characters are really brought to life with the narration.

Susan Hawke and Michael Pauley are becoming one of my favourite duos - I love them almost as much as I love Daddy Bryan and Preston in Rules to Break. The second book in the Davey's Rules series, we are introduced to a second daddy boy pair. one thing I am loving about these books is how each relationship is Daddy-boy, but a different style. While Travis and Adam in the first book were sweet and caring, Preston is a grade A brat in need of a much sterner Daddy, and wow does Bryan ever fit the bill. Their relationship starts as a bet that Bryan can improve Preston's bratty behaviour, but he quickly realises that while Preston is most certainly a brat, there is more than meets the eye. I was surprised at how much I loved Preston - especially after his behaviour in the first book. Preston's prickly exterior definitely hides a lot of insecurity and loneliness, and I loved how Bryan dealt with both his brattyness while still giving him the comfort and guidance he needed. This book is sweet and hot, but had a fair bit of heartache as well. Overall it was really well-rounded and developed. The narration was perfection. Bryan's voice was stern and rough, while Preston's attitude and afflection perfectly matched his character. I laughed and cried at his reactions. A 5 star read or listen across the board!

After meeting Preston in the first book, I was a little apprehensive with this one, but then I read the My Fair lady spin and was intrigued. I love that they're both flawed and "real" vs the always perfect daddy. its a nice change of pace.

So we met Preston in Rules to Follow and saw what a brat he was. Of course...appearances can be deceiving. And when a bet results in him getting Daddy Bryan as his Daddy for a period of 90 days...all sorts of things happen.

I loved Preston and Bryan together. Preston is truly an outcome of his childhood but he is so much more deep down and really broke my heart. Bryan is such a stern Daddy, who doesn’t do relationships, but again there’s so much more to the man. This book had me in fits of giggles (Davey’s Rules are amazing, Preston is such an adorable brat...and Bronson - there are no words) but also had me in floods of tears in several places.

The narration was good and made the characters come to life...a great revisit to Daddy’s Lap.

A boy who needs a Daddy to truly see him...
