Summary
Once upon a time, there lived a man with five rambunctious daughters. They were an average American farming family except for one minor detail. The man was a warlock, and all of his daughters were witchlets - half witch and half human.
Rick Carr and his friend Booey come to Toppers Cove seeking employment at the seafood plant. For Rick, it is a chance to try and re-establish roots on the eastern coast, plus he hopes he can make a life out here.
He never expects to meet someone like Kimberly Blakeney. One glance, and he knows he's fallen in love, until he discovers she's a witch. A real witch. But despite that revelation, his feelings don’t change.
The only problem is, before he can sweep her off her feet, he first has to pass what she calls a "sex hex test" to prove they are meant to be together. Rick doesn’t mind, but what he doesn’t realize is that his best friend isn’t about let him fall under her spell...even if it means taking drastic measures.

Witchy addictive
Short and sweet, with a side of steam. What a great start to what sounds like a cute story series! These sisters are fun, honest and witchy, who pick a hunk of alpha! What a great family. I am really enjoyed this authors work, I will definitely look for more. The narrator did an excellent job too!

I thought the title was a joke
Pumpkin is not a euphemism, a dude rubs a magic pumpkin on his dick. Not a fan.

suit young adult
Would I listen to it again: unsure
Did the story keep me engaged: not particularly
Was I invested in the characters: a little
What did I like about the story? Quirky is the word that comes to mind.
The premise of the story was interesting, unfortunately, for me, the execution missed the mark. Not sure i'm the targeted demographic for this one. Phrases like "her rack" and "flaunt his wood" were OK when I was in my twenties's, but I'm not a fan now. And the "rub my pumpkin (a literal pumpkin) all over your naked body" and the subsequent ... what he imagined doing with said pumpkin, didn't work for me at all. (sorry!)
Susan Kennedy has done a reasonable job narrating Rub My Pumpkin. She embodies the young adult characters and their personalities very well.

Rick and Kim, a Witchlet
Rick and Kim, a half witch, saw each other when Rick and Booey, his friend, got into town. There was a spark then. They saw each other again at the pizza parlor. She sat with him and told him she was a witch. She told him about heart call and sex-hex to know if they are actual mates. She had to perform the test before midnight on Halloween. Rick's friend Booey tried to warn him away from Kim. Eventually he goes to Kim's home and tries to kidnap Rick from his future father-in-law's home. Since Tick passed the tests, he was accepted into Kim's family. The family jumps in the help him when Booey attacks him. The ending was funny where Booey gets what he deserved.
Susan Kennedy did a good job with the narration. I received this free copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Ummmm yeah, there was that?
I'm fairly new to this author and loved her short stores so much I got a ton of them. I loved the cover of this book and thought it would be a cute witchy quickie. What I didn't expect is food porn. Seriously, guy meets witchlette girl, falls under some destiny love spell and has weird pumpkin patch/pumpkin sex, and bam HEA. It got so squishy that I took my earbuds out. Just ewwwwwww but on to the next. No more pumpkin sex please 🙏

Part of a series. I thought this was an entertaining story with a kick. These witchy sisters are engaging, add in the hunks and it was a fun weekend read/listen.
