Summary
Identity theft, regency style

Terrific Romp
Loved this book. And enjoyed the audio. Gender swap allowed a strong 'female' character to emerge in regency England. Very funny and plot sufficiently congruent to ignore some of the more ridiculous aspects. Recommended

Really good listen. Definitely recommend it.
The narration (although I had to speed up quite a bit) was excellent, male and female voices were both very good.
The story itself was also surprisingly good, it had only 3 other reviews when I bought it so it was a bit risky but I’m very pleased I took the chance.

Do not buy this book until a new narrator performs it
First let me start by saying I am a fan of D. L. Carter. The book Ridiculous is a hilarious story. I have read it before getting the audible version. I was one of many people who requested that D L Carter’s books be added to audible.
This is a prime example of how a narrator can ruin a book. This book is to be read with comedic timing... and emphasis. She reads the entire book as if it is serious! The title should have been a big hit that the book is a comedy...
My suggestion is to buy the book but not the audible version....

Yes, ridiculous!....
but enjoyable, if rather long winded. I amped the speed up to 1.15 and that helped. I guess after 13 hours and finding myself smiling at the end it couldn't have been anything less than entertaining.
