Bookstore owner Aubrey Barnes likes his quiet, orderly London life, thank you very much. His shop may be struggling, his only employee is a menace, and his plumbing is one creaky pipe away from disaster, but he can handle it. Maybe. He cannot, however, handle the film company that's thrown his Soho street into chaos. And he definitely can't handle the charismatic American actor Blake Sinclair.

Story
Cutthroat political consultant Thom Morgan is thriving, working on the governor of California’s presidential campaign. If only he didn’t have to deal with Clay Parker, the infuriatingly smug data analyst who gets under Thom’s skin like it’s his job. In the midst of one of their heated and very public arguments, a journalist snaps a photo, but the image makes it look like they’re kissing. As if that weren’t already worst-nightmare territory, the photo goes viral—and in a bid to secure the liberal vote, the governor asks them to lean into it. Hard.

Ronald 'Knight' McKnight was the meanest, most misunderstood boy at Peach State High School...perhaps on the entire planet. Knight hated everyone, except for me, BB - the perky, quirky punk chick with the locker next to his. I, on the other hand, liked everybody...except for Knight. I was scared to death of him, actually. All I wanted was to marry a Prince Eric-lookalike Lance Hightower and have a million of his babies. Unfortunately for me, Knight was even better at getting his way than I was, and once he got under my skin, my life would never be the same.

My sister was good, kind, loving, and the Royals of Regalia bullied her 'til she killed herself. I set foot on campus ready to right some wrongs when the most handsome bunch of stone-cold weirdos asked if I needed a little help. These four are as determined to make up for not protecting my sister as they are to protect…and keep…me. They’re freaks. Weirdos. Psychos. But damned if they’re not taking my heart like they do everything else—without mercy or permission. It’s the five of us against the most untouchable of Regalia. No one thinks we can win, but I like my chances.
Summary
* Instant New York Times and USA Today bestseller *
What happens when America's First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales?
Alex Claremont-Diaz is handsome, charismatic, a genius--pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House ever since his mother first became President of the United States. There’s only one problem. When the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an altercation between Alex and Prince Henry, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.
Heads of family and state devise a plan for damage control: stage a truce. But what begins as a fake, Instagrammable friendship grows deeper, and more dangerous, than either Alex or Henry could have imagined. Soon they are hurtling into a secret romance that could derail the presidential campaign and upend two nations.
'Red, White & Royal Blue is outrageously fun. It is romantic, sexy, witty, and thrilling. I loved every second.' - Taylor Jenkins Reid, New York Times bestselling author of Daisy Jones & The Six

Couldn’t finish it
I gave up half way through, something I don’t often do, but I just couldn’t take cringing through the rest of the book. Too political, too much uncomfortable smut and didn’t care for any of the characters.

Very UScentric
Story was fine, a few mistakes with royal etiquette but that can be overlooked since the whole thing screams USA. The prince is a supporting character, the whole thing revolves around Alex and his family and friends in the US and its clear that this was not written with a British audience in mind, which is fine, but thought I may have enjoyed it more if the characters were given equal page time and background.

Doesn't live up to the hype
This book went viral on my social media a while back so I thought I'd see what all the fuss was about. Unfortunately it was absolute rubbish. I don't expect a book like this to be hugely realistic but there were a few things in it that showed it was very clearly written by an American who had very little understand of the United Kingdom, referring at one point to 'the Prince of England' like the rest of Britain and the UK doesn't exist. It was small things like that the ruined my enjoyment quite a bit along with the fairly predictable story line. Definitely doesn't live up to the hype.

Romance with important message
It took a fair share of chapters to grab interest in the story. I almost returned it because of that. I'm quite glad I didn't.
The love story would not have this much impact without the context of the world we live in.
I cried. Twice.
But not so much for a couple, so for the hope that one day this HEA could've happened. Hope for a more tolerant and open-minded world.

The 1st son and the prince...a thing?
The idea for a book - is good. Interesting. The bad thing was that the author showed a lack of knowledge about royalty or British royalty. There were a few unrealistic things. The chemistry between Alex and Henry is pretty good. The chapters are a bit too long.

Great storyline but overtly politically biased
Great story plot, love the drama and passion....
But is scattered through with extreme anti-western and anti-conservative propaganda. Insinuates that all conservatives just don't know what's best for them and that the USA and Britain were 'genocidal empires'... spare me

Fun and entertaining
I dont usually go for books in this genre but I found it super enjoyable! Narrator’s delivery of certain parts of the book had me genuinely laughing out loud as I was walking around in public, so while I’m now mortified from how embarrassing that was, it definitely made this story way more engaging!
