Summary
Being the Chosen One could kill everyone she loves....
The Outcast knows Victoria Saveron could destroy his plans to control the planet of Aeris. To gain her cooperation, he begins collecting everyone Vic holds dear.

Great book
Just like the previous two,this 3rd book is really great. This trilogy deserves more recognition. You can't really start on this one though without reading book 1 and 2. I definitely recommend it. I also like the narrator. If you're like me and didn't like the narrator of book 1., Simply bite through it so you can get to book 2 and 3 without delay. You won't regret it.

Mostly chaotic episodes of strung-together G.O.T.
I’m going to fore-word with: heroes of might & magic and fantasy & fairy fare aren't my favorite.
Jacueline DeGraff's narration proved decent, even though every voice she employed sounded basically the same. I would probably listen to additional efforts produced by her, if she learned some more effective emotional inflection. The narration style is a hair too robotic and heartless for my personal taste. Seriously, employ the monotone text reader function on your computer in a female voice, you get the same thing!
This particular work wants to be Game of Thrones meet Twilight, obviously this is pandering to fantasy-core folks disappointed by late-model might & magic efforts.
Formulaic structure, constant spells and archaic diatribes about made-up lore are hard to take seriously. But, to be fair I could imagine RPG dice-tossers wanting a throw-back to LOTR. There’s little sense of real danger because you know there's already a book 4, and it's talked about in book 3.
It may also have helped to know what happened in books 1 & 2 because the beginning feels like being dropped into the middle of the story.
There was little in the way of action, which is supper annoying, but at least there's constant reference to landscapes and names of places with no descriptors therein.
It’s about 4 hours too long. Much like the fluff-fillers that transformed the last Twilight book into 2 films, this really could've used a good proof-reader and editor. Speaking of: Julie's attempt to switch back and forth between past and present tense, and first and third-person narrative simply does not work. Also: 'Misfits and Malcontents'. Swear I heard that uttered about 175 times! Julie, could you come up with some OTHER descriptors?
Despite the glossy, professional exterior: there are some pretty significant technical issues with the audio-book itself. Chapters don't correspond much, the Audible title will read 'Chapter 19' when the narrator says 'Chapter 17' and so forth. This is constant and distracting. Also, there is dead silence at the 2:05:55 mark for almost a full minute for absolutely no reason. This occurs a couple of times thereafter.
