Rebel Bear

Another amazing paranormal shifter book by this author! The twists and turns in this book were so nice to listen to. Watching Timber struggle with his bear about Hailey being her mate was comical at times but intense at others. Unfortunately for Timber, Hailey finds out about shifters in a fearful way and make me Timber scared to tell her about himself. Because of this, Hailey finds herself in danger. As expected in any romance the hero comes to save the day and does so well with the help of an unexpected kind. The book takes you all the way to your HEA and then some. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this group of amazing shifters.
The narration of this book is amazing! I knew exactly who was talking without having to wait to be told. The voices in here as well as the feelings put in them are phenomenal.

Tim and Hailey

This is the second book in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series. Although I thoroughly enjoyed book 1, Rebel Dragon, this one is even better. OMG!! it is so good. I have a very long commute to work and was so into the book that I almost missed my stop. Good thing I get off the train at the end of the line. This was a really fun suspenseful listen. Loved Tim and Hailey and could not wait until they got together since it was obvious they really wanted each other based on their self talk. On the flip side, I could not stand Hailey’s stuck-up mother, Jonathan, and Lamar. This book kept me interested from the beginning right to end. I am also glad the other characters from Rebel Dragon were in the book. Ms. Lowe is so talented, I don’t know how she comes up with such good stories.

A lot happens during the course of the book and it moves along at a really good pace. As I have mentioned before, Ms. Lowe has a great imagination and a gift for storytelling. I HIGHLY recommend this series.

I'd fall for Timber

Rebel Bear is book 2 of the latest series by Anna Lowe and she hasn't disappointed me ever. I loved reading about Tim and Hailey and think you will too, even though I encourage you to read from the beginning in order to get the most out of all the connected bits.

Hailey is set up by her mother to marry Jonathan, a rich but not quite nice man. When she runs away from the surprise wedding she didn't want or agree to, her plight comes to the attention of Tim, a bear shifter who feels a pull to help her. Hailey doesn't know Tim, but she feels safe with him just the same. The journey is full of obstacles, which I won't divulge, but can say that I'm happy to be able to keep reading these books as long as Anna keeps writing them.

Fun Bear Shifter Romance with some Action!

Entertaining and interesting! Love bear shifters because they are sweeties. I wish there was actually more of the shifter tendencies, and more time spent in their shifter form. Tim and Hailey are really sweet together! Their romance is kind of a slow burn, but they have a connection right from the beginning. Tim is great, and Hailey was lucky he was there for her. I liked Hailey, but the girl can't read people very well. She doesn't know when to cut people out of her life and say NO!, but she does get better. I don't like how the situation with Hailey's mom ended. Hailey is trying to hideout because her mom and this guy Hailey has been dating, but doesn't really like, is trying to force Hailey into marriage. Tim rescues her and helps her hideout. I'd read the first book in the series before this one because there are previous characters in this book, and there is a storyline that will probably go throughout the series. I was actually quite disappointed in the group this time! Tim was pretty much on his own for this adventure. I always love the action Lowe includes in her books, and I love the Hawaiian setting. The magical elements are great too, but in this book, I was a bit confused about what Hailey's pearl does. I listened to the audio version while I was driving, so maybe I missed a better explanation for it. It just seemed too vague. Speaking of the audio, I've listened to this narrator before, and she does a good job, but I think she's a little too exuberant at times. Maybe I'm just ready for a different narrator, but the listening experience is still good. I don't quite have the connection with the characters and story from this series as I have with past Anna Lowe books; I have high expectations for Lowe's books, so it's hard to live up to at times, but I'm still really enjoying this series. Looking forward to seeing what happens with the other shifters!

Book 2 in the series. Each story even though is in a series it can be listen to as a stand alone . The first one is Rebel Dragon , the Bear one will grab your attention .
Hero is Tim. Heroine is Hailey.
Hailey is betrayed by her mother , who so happens to be her manager . Hailey is a model, a successful one and her mother has other plans for her . Hailey has one goal in mind , break up with her boyfriend Jonathan. But Jonathan and Hailey mother has other plans. For Jonathan to get down on one knee before everyone and ask for her hand . Hailey can’t take any more so she runs !!! . That’s when Hailey runs into Tim. Tim is on Hawaii like his other team forces for a project. That’s when Tim and Hailey and even though Tim doesn’t want anything to do with her , his bear has other ideas , His bear knows that Hailey is their mate , Tim needs to convince Hailey that they belong together but her needs to tread softly to show her who he really is . Kelsey performance was great like it was for the series . Her voice for each characters was strong, and smooth

Won't disappoint

I'd already read/listened to Anna Lowe's other series and loved them. So I was excited to get Rebel Bear and start listening. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. The story flew by. I can't wait to get the rest of the series!

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are well written and the storyline flowed nicely. Bear shifters and run way bribes make for a fun unexpected story of love. Seeing these two characters reach their HEA makes for an excellent read. This is the second book in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series. This series is a spinoff from the Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart series. And while you by no means need to read the other series to understand these books I would highly suggest them because they’re really good and you’ll have backstory on some of the other characters that are mentioned in these series.

I love this series. Kelly’s ability to pronounce all the tongue twisters is awesome! I’m looking forward to the next one.
