Summary

DEATH IS MISSING: PRESUMED...ER...GONE....which leads to the kind of chaos you always get when an important public service is withdrawn. Meanwhile, on a little farm far, far away, a tall dark stranger is turning out to be really good with a scythe. There's a harvest to be gathered in.

A great tale about the lack of death

What do you do when Death disappears? Where does Death go when he's not needed anymore? This is a brilliant story but it's let down by Tony Robinson's narration. He always makes death whisper, when every pratchett fan knows that DEATH SPEAKS IN CAPITAL LETTERS! It spoiled it for me somewhat.

Slow start

This is the latest in the books I've " read" by Pratchett. After a slow start it gained my attention and yet again I enjoyed the narration of one of his books. On to the next!

Loved the story, loved Tony’s voices

Really great story so I was sad when it ended. It is abridged but Tony Robinson’s voices are excellent. Highly recommend

Short and sweet

Working my way through them all. This was very employable. It doesn’t miss a beat…

Hideous abridgement

Don’t buy it - so abridged the story is mutilated - waste of a credit and a dishonour to the author

Predictable and clichee

sad to hear the early twists of the disc world's details and reaality parallels turn into background annecdotes for slapstick and fantasy genre clichees.
