About this listen
Elena Harris knows what she should have - a doctor as a husband and a large home in the suburbs, but what Elena desires is passion. Enter Joshua Ravensong, the quintessential “bad boy”. A rock-star struggling with a drug addiction, Ravensong falls for Elena, allowing her a chance to live out her fantasy, but one night of passion quickly turns into a relationship that might consume both of them.
©2011 M.L. Hamilton (P)2019 M.L. HamiltonThis book could possibly be described as a romance with a suspenseful flair. However, it feels like a whole lot more. It has been so delicately constructed. The story involves drug addiction, abuse and single-minded greed but also the very best of family, community and love. Ravensong could have appeared as a tragic character but ML Hamilton has somehow balanced his strength with his vulnerable. The author had been ruthlessly honest about the dark side of the entertainment industry but also softens the blow with meaningful characters and relationships.
And the result is fantastic. Another ML Hamilton creation and Kelley Hazen performance that I just could not stop listening to. This is an author-narrator combination you just cannot go wrong with!

Delicately and thoughtfully written and performed
