It’s been 120 years since the 50 or so worldships containing the few million survivors of the human species set off after the planet Earth was destroyed by a meteor. On the Worldship Humility, Sam, a 30-year-old Airlock Operative, is bored. Living in space should be exciting and full of adventure, except it isn’t, and he fills his time hacking 3-D movie posters and holographic adverts outside the stores in the retail zone. Petty thief Yasmine Emile Dufont is also from the WS Humility, but she is not bored....

Story
The world crashed to pieces on June 23rd and Adrian Ring wasn't anywhere near ready for it. He had no guns, no food, no friends around, a cat that wanted to slip out the back of the condo and a girlfriend trapped in the heart of the city. This is the story of how he survived. Real, flawed, and raw, Dark Recollections is Adrian's own story of how he survived after "That Day". Told through his eyes as he talks to his laptop, affectionately named "Mr. Journal".

Great to put a voice and personality to his words
Am really enjoying The Undead series and loved the two (soon to be three) Extracted books — so it’s great to hear how he started and what his plans are going forward. Seems like a nice bloke, too!

Great insight into the author
I'm only half way through Extracted but I'm really impressed with it so it was very interesting to listen him explain a bit about the writing process and how he got into it. I write a lot of technical documents for work and live it. If only I could write a book. Listening to the interview make me believe that just perhaps I could.
I listen to a LOT of books, mainly science fiction and have also read a lot. Be in know doubt, this guy has real talent and I can't wait to hear more from him.

Love that you self published The Undead...
Dear Mr. Haywood,
I am in awe of your work. The Undead series is by far my favorite on Audible. I'm currently on day 16. As an aspiring writer I love that you self published. It gives hope to the rest of us that we can share our work with the world. In regards to the series, the characters are each so dynamic that it is just a joy to listen to. The mixture of severity and humor in the story makes the world in which Howie and his group struggle to survive in feel so real. please please please keep the series going.
All the best,
Frederick Murray
