Summary
Every table at Quentins Restaurant has a thousand stories to tell: tales of love, betrayal and revenge. Ella Brady wants to make a documentary about the renowned Dublin restaurant that has captured the spirit of a generation and a city in the years it has been open.
In Maeve Binchy's magical Quentins, you will meet new friends and old: the twins from Scarlet Feather, the Signora from Evening Class, Ria from Tara Road, and a host of fresh faces. There is Monica, the ever-cheerful Australian waitress, and Blouse Brennan, whose simplicity disguises a sharp mind and a heart of gold.
Presiding over Quentins are Patrick and Brenda Brennan, who have made Quentins such a legend. But even they have a story and a sadness which is hidden from the public gaze. As Ella uncovers more of what has gone on, she wonders about the wisdom of bringing it to the screen. Should the restaurant keep its secrets?

Maeves Magic
Quentins weaves in (and out of) some of Maeves finest characters lives and is a fantastic listen for anyone. Like a bowl of hearty soup it warms and comforts and I really recommend it.......a great accompaniment to an afternoon of knitting, sewing or just plain indulging in relaxation. Another very clever story from the lady who writes as though she is having a chat with you personally!

Gentle, perspective writing!
If one enjoys stories that are about people, living fairly ordinary lives. Maeve Binchy manages to paint a verbal picture of Ireland in the 50’s & 60’s.
I highly recommend all of the books she wrote,

Easy read.
I have read some of Maeve Binchy's books and this one was particularly enjoyable as it drew in characters from some of her other books. I felt part of the story and I knew the characters. I found this book very funny in parts. This was an easy read. Kate Binchy is a great narrator.

Lovely
Warm, witty, wonderful characters and narrated perfectly. One of my favourites, especially if you’ve read Tara Road and Evening Class. So sad when it ends.

Great Characters
Like many of the other reviewers, I love Maeve Binchy's engaging characters and irresistible plotlines. And I was extremely annoyed by the quixotic Ella. However, part of what made her story and her behaviour so unbearable was that it is a tale as old as time. Perhaps the ending circumstances were more dramatic than most...but the "love" story was sadly ubiquitous. Binchy's stories still keep me entranced and I want to know each person better. She really knew how to spin a tale. As usually K Binchy read the story superbly. Favourite Part: the overlapping characters from previous novels

Wonderful story!
Such an amazing story. Everything ties together within the book, and together with other books Maeve Binchy has written.
