Summary

A starship lost. A creator found. A frantic race to save them both.

For Colonel Mitchell "Ares" Williams, there is no giving up. There is no going back. The Goliath may have fallen into enemy hands, but the war must go on.

After all, he and the Riggers have what they need to locate the Creator, the man responsible for the alien threat and the key to unraveling their unstoppable attack. All they have to do is get to him before the Tetron do.

It's no easy task, but nothing about the war has ever been easy, and the Riggers still have a few tricks left up their sleeves.

Excellent end to my week!

I did really enjoy this as a series, but there were just a couple of things in this that tripped me up as a reader and I really would have preferred that M. R. Forbes take this a diff way, but it is what it is, it's still very good writing. If not a little predictable.

I wish Mitch was a little bit more sorry and knowingly sorry that he lost Millie, it seems one min he's grieving and then the next he's wanting to sex up the nearest woman again, I'd have much preferred in this that he actually did grieve as a character, that he did turn the advances away, not be the one constantly thinking about his sex drive...

I wish that they'd had a little time to warn Earth, to be on the defensive, to win something... not for Mitch to have to sacrifice everything along the way, it seems so so bad. The enemy is always one step ahead, and that really sucks.

However, other than that, there were some great defining moments in here and I really do hope that Jeffery gets to narrate the next one, or it might be a long time till I get to read it.

Thanks to you both for an awesome ride. I've enjoyed it, I've had goosebumps, I've had tears in my eyes! and love in my heart. More please....

:)

Good Story, Shame the Hero is a Letch

Great story full of twist and interesting ideas. Shame the main character spends most of his time letching over every woman he comes across, probably could have saved humanity in 2 books if he kept focused.

My favorite space series

This is the best space battle series I've heard. I listen to each book several times. The characters, plot, tension - even the enemies - keep me riveted. And Jeffrey Kafer does a superb job with narration. I wish new War Eternal books came out every month. I'll keep buying them as long as Mr. Forbes keeps writing them.

Do yourself a favor and listen to the first book in the series: Starship Eternal. I think you'll be hooked on War Eternal too.

It doesn't get any better than this.

Great performance, characters, and story. You need to pay attention because the story is faced paced and if you try to multitask you'll miss something important. lol.

Same old same old.

Overwhelming odds that drag on and on with last moment surprise out of nowhere rescue. It really gets tiring.

M R Forbes has a weird sense of propriety. 🥴

Is it not truly silly that Forbes has even his most repulsive characters say 'frig', 'frigging' and 'frigger'?
This series is full of obscenity, profanity and sadism. There are even some references to pedophilia.
In context, 'frig' and its derivations are completely anomalous in a story so replete with truly offensive language and topics. If the author's inclusion of such things was an attempt at realism, then he has undermined his own work. 😏

Excellent continuation! Yay books?

Finished this rather quickly. I could not stop listening to this book. Twists and turns. Surprise after surprise. Short chapters kept the action going. Really enjoyed the character interaction. Performance was spot on.
Starting book five now. You want to continue the story!

Get me to the next book now!!!

I started this series because I was waiting for my next credit and it was free. I was hooked early and now have pushed back a series I had been listening to in order to keep going with this one. I started downloading the next book before this finished, because I do not want to wait to hear what happens next.

it's alot

there's alot of scifi here and overall a good plot. it's fun if you just go with it I plan on finishing the series for sure already bought the next 2. honestly suggest playback at .95 somehow adds to the narrators voice influxes and isn't noticably slowed while adding and extra 20 or so minutes to play time if you listen at work like me every minute counts.
