About this listen
She was the mother of Henry VIII and wife of Henry VII, but who was Elizabeth of York? Raised as the precious eldest child of Edward IV, Elizabeth had every reason to expect a bright future until Edward died, and her life fell apart. When Elizabeth's uncle became Richard III, she was forced to choose sides. Should she trust her father's brother and most loyal supporter or honor the betrothal that her mother has made for her to her family's enemy, Henry Tudor? The choice was made for her on the field at Bosworth, and Elizabeth the Plantagenet princess became the first Tudor queen. Did Elizabeth find happiness with Henry? And did she ever discover the truth about her missing brothers, who became better known as the Princes in the Tower?

Treachery, politics and romance.Elizabeth of York as a pawn and a leader makes you want to listen through to the end of this audio-book. As a non-historian I was pleasantly surprised by the way this book held my attention and led me through the story. What was one of the most memorable moments of Plantagenet Princess, Tudor Queen?
I kept forgetting that this is ultimately a true story. When Elizabeth married Henry VII I was excited to find out what happened next and then realised I already knew! The plotting and politics were fascinating to hear and listening to the plot unravel with such speed made for a great story. I would recommend this to anyone interested in this era and to anyone who .Which scene did you most enjoy?
The childrens' births were well told and I was intrigued by the favours bestowed upon such unlikely shoulders for the sake of politicsAny additional comments?
Rachael Beresford's gentle tones kept me intrigued and entertained. Her accent reminded me of the true English nature of the text and the historical importance of the story. A wonderful, flowing portrayal of one of the most famous eras of English history.A real life historical romance
