Summary

When Peter Pan flies into the night nursery of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling, he takes them on the journey, and the adventure, of a lifetime. Mermaids, wolves, and Indians weave their spell in the magical Never Never Land, where also lurks the wicked Captain Hook. Toyah Willcox stars as Peter Pan, with Ron Moody as Captain Hook, Roy Hudd as Smee, and June Whitfield as Mrs. Darling in this spectacular BBC Radio 4 dramatisation, with stunning sound effects and specially composed music.

The best dramatisation ever made

I loved this version of Peter Pan when I was a child and was delighted to find it again. The actors are perfect for their parts, the script it fantastic (a rara avis in adaptation as it retains the pure magic of the original book), humourous, dramatic and deeply moving (impossible not to well up at Tinkerbell's devotion) I recommend it to everyone.

It was fun

I liked it...But some of the actors were anmoying. Like Peter Pan, for instance. He it nothing like I thought Peter Pan would sound like, and he was too loud, which put me off of the audiobook.
Sorry, it's just my opinion. 😩

PETER PAN PLAY

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Not clear this is a play, would like money back very confusing for children to listen to at bedtime. Dissapointed

this is a terrible dramatization. just terrible!

we couldn't stand to listen to it. worst dramatization I've ever heard. aside from annoying voices, the volume was impossible to keep the same. it was just all over the place.

☹️Made for TV not radio

Don’t waste your money. It’s Impossible to follow this recording of a TV program.

My kids were totally disappointed and frustrated with me after wasting the time to select and download and suffer few the first bits of this.

Even though the story is excellent, I will not recommend this for young children because the performers use a British accent which young Americans (5-7 year olds) could not comprehend. We had to pause and translate all the to the end.

Magic: brought me back to childhood

Whimsical, magic, entertaining. Who needs a narrator? great cast and sound effects. A definite treasure to play over and over.
