Pengarron Land
This book is the start of a most delightful and enjoyable family saga! I do wish there were more like it! It was wonderful, and I am sorry that I have now listened to, and come to the end of all five books! More from this lady, Please!

Wonderful
Loved the whole story, beautifully read, so many twists and turns. Conjured up a real feel for the place and time.

A deeply flawed main character
Some inconsistencies with the main character, which were a little frustrating at times. Terrific narration.

great series
I listened to Pengarron Land on just a whim for I love historical fiction and this time setting.
I fell in love with the characters and their love triangle and couldn't wait to listen to the rest of the series. I was not disappointed on how it ended and it really showed how choices in ones life can change the fate of one family for generations. I did think overall it had a lot of emphasis on sex and that a little more depth of the characters would have been nice without so much dwelling on their lust. The reader was great and very believeable for each character man or woman. Don't start Pengarron Land unless you want to hear all 4 books and then you will be lost in the 1750's for many hours.

A good listen
This is the first in the Pengarron series and I enjoyed it immensly. An interesting story full of romance and adventure, set in beautiful Cormwall.
I look forward to listening to all in the series which fortunately for me, Audible has purchased.
The reader, Patricia Gallimore is excellent.
