About this listen
New York Times best-selling author Iyanla Vanzant recounts the last decade of her life and the spiritual lessons learned—from the price of success during her meteoric rise as a TV celebrity on Oprah, the Iyanla TV show (produced by Barbara Walters), to the dissolution of her marriage and her daughter's 15 months of illness and death on Christmas day. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Iyanla shares why everything we need to learn is reflected in our relationships and the strength and wisdom she has gained by supporting others in their journeys to make sense out of the puzzle pieces of their lives.

What did you like most about Peace from Broken Pieces?
I have always been a big fan of iyanla, her no nonsense advice, and her uncomplicated way of putting things in perspective . This book is different, you feel her pain, and go thru the many different stages of grief with her. You desperately want to reach out and hug her, tell her everything will be alright. But I needn't having worried, she is a force of nature and has come out the other side wiser and stronger. What other book might you compare Peace from Broken Pieces to, and why?
The book of job. Loss of al that you have dear , followed by redemption, a steadfast belief in God.Which character – as performed by Iyanla Vanzant – was your favourite?

Just when I caught myself criticising some of her delivery; I remembered this book is not fictional; it is her life story.
A really inspirational and comical at times, it did leave me with some questions like:what next? But i guess that is the process of starting my own life journey!
An eye opener
