Summary
In the Finding Fatherhood series, these shifters become daddies in unconventional ways.
US Marshal and bear-shifter Lucas Anderson failed to protect his pregnant witness, so when she asks him to adopt her daughter as her dying wish, he can't refuse. Angel is a sweet baby, and he soon feels like Papa Bear, and maybe she'll be the key to help him wear down his mate's resistance.
Libby has shut him down for months, and he knows they belong together, but she won't give him a chance to prove it. Can the stubborn bear and his baby win her over to their ready made family? Can he keep his mate and child safe when the cartel that killed his witness comes after him, putting all three in danger?

Short and sweet shifter romance
This book is what you get when you combine a US Marshall bear shifter, a new born baby, a woman with a history and relentless bad guys. For being so short, this book is fast moving with plenty of action. It is sweet and feel good with a definite HEA. It also seems to set the pace for the future books in this series.

Papa Bear
This is Book 1 in the Finding Fatherhood series and my introduction to Kit Fawkes. Papa Bear is a well-written, short, shifter romance with some mystery/action elements and likable characters. It can be a standalone, as it is a complete story arc with no cliffhanger. (W'hoo!) I liked the pacing of the story and that the characters dealt with real issues and obstacles in a reasonable manner (no TSTL moments, whining, etc). There was plenty going on, but it didn't feel rushed or superficial. I will keep an eye out for more from this author.
David Quimby has a good voice and tone that works for the main character who is a mostly laid-back and in-control police officer who can become a bit growly, as he is also a bear shifter. The softening of his voice for female dialogue is just enough to do the job without sounding fake. He has a good feel for where to put emphasis in his reading, and his pronunciation is good, taking into consideration that he uses a slight southern/country accent that fits the characters and this story well. I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.

Great Story, as usual
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I thought this was a great book. The story was very intriguing and very detailed. The characters were wonderful as well. Very Creative. Kit does a great job of telling a story that is suspenseful, a thriller and very romantic. You can see the people in your mind as you listen to the story. The narrator did a good job. Have heard him before and he is acceptable. Doesn't really have a deep voice that portrays the sexy man. But he will do. At least I can tell who's voice he is imitating. Enjoyed this book and looking for more.

Not what I expected
Very unusual story. The shifter never came out till the last hour of the book. I was not impressed with the voice of the reader. The overall story just didn't live up to the expected story of a shifter. Not until the last 30 minutes did it even come close to a shifter story.
I received this fee for an honest review.

Lucas and Libby
This is a pretty good start to the Finding Fatherhood series. Lucas, a US Marshall, adopts a baby girl and becomes her father when her mother dies. His mate, Libby, won’t give him a chance. Will the two of them finally become mates?
David Quimby did an OK job with the narration. His voice sounds older than the hero. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great story!
The story was great! The narrato4 was good but it was a little hard to tell the characters apart because his voice was very similar for the different characters.
