Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

The brand new novel from Sunday Times best-selling author Katie Flynn

Liverpool 1939: Olivia Campbell appears to have the perfect life. However, behind closed doors she lives in constant fear of her abusive father and has no support from her mother.

Longing for love and affection, she begins a relationship with Ted, a young lad who works in her father's factory. But her family disapprove of the relationship and forbid them from seeing each other.

When war comes to Liverpool, Olivia seizes the opportunity to leave behind her unhappy life and join the WAAF. There she meets a fellow trainee, Maude, and the two embrace their newly found independence. Soon Olivia meets the handsome Ralph, and all thoughts of Ted are brushed aside. Until he returns to her life with some shocking news that turns her world upside down.

Over the rainbow

This is follow up book to ‘Under The Mistletoe. In the first book it focused on the life of Jessica growing up in the orphanage. This second book focuses on the life of Olivia and the hard life she spent with her father while caring for Her mother.
I have absolutely loved every chapter of this book. Very well penned, and so very well narrated by the truly talented Anne Dover. Thank you for this truly absorbing book!

Over the rainbow

A lovely heart rending story, difficult to put down. I read a poor review but I am glad I took no notice. I did guess early on the outcome, but there is a remarkable twist to the tale…

Don’t miss

Having listened to all 3 books in this saga I would highly recommend. They are read beautifully, the stories are captivating and extremely enjoyable. The narrator is one of my favourites she really brings the characters to life. I never write reviews but felt compelled to write this one as I enjoyed them so much.

Don't bother, story is so repetitive and weak

Narration was excellent. The plot was rubbish. Repetitive, pointless in places. Don't waste your money.
