So good!! Can't wait for the next!!

One Night in Tehran was so good!! It was definitely the kind of suspense and action kind of story I was craving, and I'm definitely a fan of Luana Ehrlich's writing! Having read the prequel, I was definitely looking forward to seeing how Titus' story continued, and I was surprised to see the action happening on US soil instead of Iran. Still, it was a pleasant surprise, and I definitely enjoyed getting the behind-the-scenes in some procedures like debriefing and such. It was also nice getting to meet Titus' coworkers, his boss, and even Stormy's addition, as well as old acquaintances, and maybe a possible love interest. The pace was perfect and I think this book (and even series, though I'm just starting it) would make for a great movie or TV series. The characters are introduced at a pace that it's never overwhelming, and the attention to detail is such that nothing is left to chance or introduced just because. Getting to see how Titus conducted an investigation was pretty cool, and how he processed all the information was definitely interesting. The action was definitely on point and had me hooked from the previous book. Also, while there are casualties, the descriptions were never gruesome, being more like what mystery/suspense/action TV series show on a regular episode. Having said all this, I think what I enjoyed the most was how the author presented the dilemma Titus faces as being a newborn Christian while also working as an undercover CIA agent. There aren't easy answers, but there are definitely some deep questions.

I loved the narrator's smooth voice, as well as his bringing Titus and every other character to life. It all flowed pretty evenly, and one could even tell which character was speaking thanks to their having their own voice. There were a couple of times when two voices may have sounded a bit similar (Titus speaking with a female), but they were small instances and it didn't pull me from the story. Rather, the narrator did a great job transporting the reader to Titus' new adventure, while portraying all the different emotions (shock, anger, defeat, and interest, to name a few).

Overall, this was a great audiobook experience, perfect for anyone looking for a Clean Action/Suspense story while dealing with not so easy answers to a newborn Christian CIA agent's questions. Can't wait to dive into the next part of Titus' story! ~ 5 stars
