Summary
From Mark Greaney, the New York Times best-selling author of Mission Critical and a coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels, comes another high-stakes thriller featuring the world's most dangerous assassin: the Gray Man.
While on a mission to Croatia, Court Gentry uncovers a human trafficking operation. The trail leads from the Balkans all the way back to Hollywood.
Court is determined to shut it down, but his CIA handlers have other plans. The criminal ringleader has actionable intelligence about a potentially devastating terrorist attack on the US. The CIA won't move until they have that intel. It's a moral balancing act with Court at the pivot point.

Another great adventure
Very good story although it took a little bit to get going. The story itself was great however the narrators South African accent was shocking it sounded Scottish. Please don’t do accents unless they are good, it spoils the moment.

The Gray Man never disappoints
Yet another excellent Gray Man installment, it’s non-stop action and well narrated as always. The first-person angle took me a while to follow, but overall it’s a solid story.

Good pacey story but poor accent let it down
The story was interesting and kept a decent pace and I have liked the previous Gray Man books but Jay Snyder should have taken lessons in South African accents from someone other than Mel Gibson's Scottish accent coach. It veered from Irish to Scottish to West Country English but was never close to a South African accent and it really reduced my enjoyment of the story. I was dreading each time the South African minder had to speak.

Another good grayman story
This was the usual level action packed rolllercoaster that I've come.to expect from the grayman although it felt a bit light in depth in comparison to its predecessors. Jay Snyder is normally good with accents but his South African accent was laughable it didn't sound like it was from anywhere. Overall it's definitely worth a listen.

Awesome, just love the grey man series!
Title: One Minute Out
Author: Mark Greaney
Narrator: Jay Snyder
Series: The Gray Man, Book 9
Format: Audiobook
Reviewed by: James Slater
Review:
Mark Greaney's ninth installment in the Gray Man series, "One Minute Out," delivers yet another adrenaline-pumping adventure with the indomitable Court Gentry at the helm. Narrated by the ever-capable Jay Snyder, whose voice has become synonymous with the series, this audiobook does not disappoint.
The plot of "One Minute Out" takes a dark turn as Court Gentry uncovers a human trafficking ring while on a mission in Croatia. The personal stakes are higher, and the narrative dives deep into the grim and gritty details of this vile trade. Unlike the previous books that often paint Gentry in a globe-trotting chase with high-octane action, this story gives us a more introspective hero, wrestling with moral complexities and the solitude of his clandestine life.
Jay Snyder's narration elevates the experience significantly. His ability to switch between accents and deliver emotional depth is commendable. Snyder captures the essence of Gentry — tough, thoughtful, and unyielding. His pacing is excellent, maintaining tension and excitement through combat scenes and quieter moments alike.
The audiobook format works particularly well for "One Minute Out" due to Greaney’s detailed and dynamic writing style. Snyder’s voice guides listeners through complex plots and a multitude of characters without losing clarity. The production quality is high, with clear audio and consistent sound that makes for a seamless listening experience.
However, the book is not without its faults. Some may find the detailed descriptions of the human trafficking element hard to digest, and the introspection and moral dilemmas Gentry faces might slow the pace for those used to the relentless action of the earlier books.
Overall, "One Minute Out" is a powerful addition to the Gray Man series. It challenges its protagonist in new ways and pushes the boundaries of the action genre with its serious and heart-wrenching themes. Jay Snyder’s narration is a perfect match for Greaney’s sharp prose, making this a must-listen for fans of the series and newcomers alike.
Rating: 4.5/5
If you appreciate gritty thrillers that combine action with deep moral questions, "One Minute Out" is a commendable pick. Prepare for a tense, uncomfortable, but ultimately rewarding experience that stays with you long after the last minute ticks out.

Very good story, different style this time.
This time you are in The Gray man's brain and having the conversation with him. We can all imagine how human trafficking can be, this is very close to how we can see if really been.
Jay did a good job on the many voice but please don't do South African again. Your attempt at South Africa accent was English even near Scottish at times, definitely not South African.
