Summary
Professional astrologer and Jungian psychotherapist, Elizabeth Spring, weaves personal stories with the astrological wisdom of the North and South Nodes. There are detailed explanations of how to find and understand your own karmic Nodes as well as the life-changing transits that impact your life direction, soul purpose, career and relationships.
Elizabeth's heart-felt chapter on the "Astrology of Menopause" has been re-published around the world, and the humorous chapter "Cocktails and Karma" explores the bridging between astrologers, ministers, and therapists. The "Family Karmic Inheritance" inspires a compassionate view on family relationships.
Endorsed by Jungian author Jim Hollis, and evolutionary astrologer, Steven Forrest, this book is a reference book as well as a collection of articles that shed light on unconscious motivation. An inspiring guide for transmuting the grace and grit of life into the gold of healing and personal success.

Wonderful information - irritating narration
There is so much glorious information here and, as an Astrologer, it is a must for background information. However, the robotic narration is hard to take and makes the content much more difficult to digest and really connect with.
I can't fault the content though!

The narrator let's it down
Really interesting book but such a shame about the narrator. She was very robotic and hard to concentrate on what she was saying. It was like listening to a book read by alexa.
She also read the contents which I've never heard in an audio book before and read a long table of birth dates which was very boring. Surely the table could of been put as a pdf for those people who don't know where their North node is!

Exquisite narrative. Deeply insightful!
This is one of my favourite astrology books. Congratulations! Beautiful and valuable work for the students and practicing astrologers as well as souls seeking deeper understanding into who they are! Thank you!

Excellent
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
As a fan of Martin Schulmans work on the nodes. I found this to be an excellent balance. Very well done.

More of her personal story than a learning tool
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I'm somewhat neutral, although it has been a bit boring and not straight to any point(s).- I'm about halfway through and the author is quite tiring with her personal stories and quotes and opinions. There doesn't seem to be much useful astrological information in terms of the basics. She hasn't left any good, definite understanding about anything she's writing about thus far. I really want to like this book because I love astrology and truly believe it is an ancient science of sorts. The north and south node dynamic hasn't been a very clear one for me to grasp in my overall understanding, nor has it seemed particularly significant- and I wish the author would do a better idea of defining it's purpose and useful ways to understand their influence in our charts.
What was one of the most memorable moments of North Node Astrology?
None... actually her story about her divorce and then dating her husband kind of annoyed me. I almost feel like instead of really understanding astrology and objectively applying it when sure about the effects, her theories are much more malleable and subjective and the way she understands things are only in terms of her own life- if at all. Like she explains away her life circumstances with astrological transits and aspects which another astrologer may not necessarily see as having a significant effect, if any (noticeable) at all.
How could the performance have been better?
It was incredibly nasal and robotic sounding.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Not at all. It would basically be the author's life played out in a movie.... not enough astrological info to be intriguing.
Any additional comments?
I'm going to return it.

More like a personal memoir
Doesn’t focus much on north node information. She talks about her marriage and how they separated and remarried 5 years later, as well as her grandmother and mother’s psychological hang ups.

Not about astrology or north node
I am very disappointed with this book. There was very little about astrology itself but more a life story of the author and loosely connected to the karmic inheritance of her chart. I felt her unsettling energy come through the book, especially during her divorce and issues with dealing with her husband’s new love.

Excellent Book
Elizabeth Spring's book sheds light on the North Node being one of the most important aspect of any astrological chart. It has resonated deeply with my own practice and had a profound effect on many of the people I have worked with in astrology. Years have passed since my first reading and I still find it to be incredibly relevant and inspiring.

Narrator can’t pronounce words
I enjoyed the book and learned a lot, although the focus is on the author’s personal story. However, the narrator’s vocabulary is lacking. She can’t pronounce the unusual words that are related to mythology and esoteric studies. At least someone told her that “tarot” doesn’t rhyme with “carrot” - that was a problem in the first book. I am hungry for astrological information, and there was worthwhile content here, but be prepared to cringe at the narrator’s mangling of the English language.

Who Knew the North Node is What Was Missing?
I recently had a friend explain to me the importance of the North Node and South Node. That is what prompted me to purchase this audible book and I am so glad I did! This book was full of knowledge and wisdom that I had never come across before. I encourage anyone thinking of purchasing this to go ahead and do it-- it just might be that insight that you so desperately need.

I was really disappointed....
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book should be called: I need to talk about my life.
I wanted to learn more about astrology being astrology the center of the story...
The story is her life and astrology is of second importance.
MORE DETAILS ABOUT ASTROLOGY PLEASE!
What was most disappointing about Elizabeth Spring’s story?
She is a nice person. I don't want to hurt your feelings. But the tittle make me buy the book.
I could not rediscover my life but yours!
Would you be willing to try another one of Laura Jennings’s performances?
NO!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment.
Any additional comments?
Keep writing. Over all I see the good intention.

So much to consider...
I really loved it, very complex, was grateful I had my birth chart handy.
