Summary

Some Christians think Paul's reference to "saved through childbearing" in 1 Timothy 2:15 means that women are slated primarily for delivering and raising children. Alternate readings, however, sometimes fail to build on the best historical and textual evidence.

Helpful, informative, accessible

A more wide ranging analysis of history and culture in which scripture is set. This didn’t just tackle one of the weirdest verses in the bible but shone a light on the bits we miss because we’re distracted by the childbearing issue. I’m not an academic but I found this very accessible. Thanks to the author for taking the time to write this book!
