About this listen

No One I Knew is the compulsive new psychological thriller by A J McDine.

Praying her daughter’s still alive. Fearing her past is about to take its revenge. When three-year-old Immy vanishes during a family barbecue, her mother, Cleo, imagines the worst. Has she fallen into the river at the end of the garden and drowned? Or is it something even more unthinkable? After all, there's one person with good reason to want to abduct Immy - the woman Cleo thought she’d seen the last of three years ago. With time running out, Cleo sets out to uncover the truth. But as she confronts the demons of her past, it becomes clear everyone has a secret to hide. And the more she digs, the more she realises her carefully constructed life is just an illusion.

Good

I enjoyed the story a good twist as to the culprit was. I liked the characters and the narrator just one thing I can’t stand is when the date gets read out and they say seventeen June for eg instead of seventeenth of June might just be me haha

Amazingly gripping

A brilliantly written and superbly narrated book of twists, turns and cliff hangers; No One I Knew keeps you guessing to the very last. This is a book to remember.

Enjoyable

Very enjoyable but a bit predictable in my opinion. Narration was good and would still recommend it

good story

I like this authors work but am fed up with how the main (woman) character is so naive, even, stupid to not see what's happening under her nose. It doesn't do justice to women really

excellent listen

the narrator is very good , Fiona Mitchell has a good voice to listen too , she has a way of making a book sound exciting . the story line is very good , a few twists and turns . I wont say what happens in the end as it will spoil your story , its about a little girl going missing and thought to have drowned in the river at the bottom of the families garden ..

Good twists

It was an engaging story, which did not always follow the stereotypes, which made it an interesting listen. I wasn’t so keen on the narration, which didn’t match the character at all.
