About this listen

Two female agents of Operation Cream Cake - double agents and honey traps against the KGB - are murdered. Bond must find the others and conduct them to safety before they meet a similar fate.

In a race against time, Bond travels to Ireland and the KGB is soon on the scene. But all is not as it seems and soon Bond finds he needs all his wits to negotiate a labyrinth of double-crossing that is to lead him to a bewildering showdown in a remote corner of the Kowloon province of Hong Kong, where, weaponless, he is hunted by four assassins.

No Deals, Mr Bond is the sixth in the best-selling series created by John Gardner, and one of the most original and unpredictable.

One of the better Gardiner Bond books, the narration is set at a quick pace.

solid Bond story

Narrator good. Plot good. Only problem was Bond's love interest was a bit underwhelming as a character and the whole thing kind of looks like M is incompetent

A solid adventure

The third of John Gardner's continuation of the James Bond novel series created by Ian Flemming.

An opinion I have is that John Gardners writing of a Bond story feels more like a Novel of a Bond Film than just a Novel, It feels like the incredible range of Simon Vance is dictating a film to you just without the picture, The three John Gardner Bond novels I've listened to so far have had this great feeling and all three have been just as good as each other so far arguably a special and possibly life changing experience even if that sounds a small bit dramatic.

Simon Vance's voice acting is absolutely incredible and arguably my favourite narrator as well as Jim Dale.

I have in advance purchased all the John Gardner books on Audible so theres no chance of them disappearing, I'd prefer them on CD but availability is uncommon.

John Gardner Does It Again And Simon Vance Is The Best Narrator

John Gardner does an excellent job continuing on the adventures of 007. from the plot twists and turns, to the modern gadgets and more modern characters, this is a great listen for Bond fans.

Another classic Bind adventure.

Another cracking story. Some excellent Bond moments in this story, great characters, and a really interesting plot. And as always, Simon Vance is superb!

The narrator was absolutely excellent closely followed by the story itself. I couldn’t ‘put it down’!

Vintage Bond!

Simon Vance does his best but this hum-drum tediousness bears as much resemblance to Bond as I do to Ursula Andress.

so dull I didn't finish it.

the Irish scenes were interesting and well acted, but the rest didn't really work

still not quite there
