Summary
1271 A.D. - The Wolfe's greatest son is a man known as NIGHTHAWK.
Patrick de Wolfe is every bit his father's son - cunning, intelligent, and ruthless. An enormous man with his father's dark hair and his mother's pale green eyes, he's the man destined to lead William de Wolfe's great legacy. He is so great, in fact, that the king has personally asked for his service, as one of the king's personal body guards. On the eve of Patrick departing for this auspicious assignment, he finds himself caught up in a skirmish along the Scots border.
And a prize lands in his lap that will change his destiny.
A prize in the form of a Scots captive harboring a deadly and important secret, one that could bring war and destruction upon those who shelter her. When Brighton “Bridey” de Favereux is rescued by the powerful English knight, she is taken back to the massive fortress of Questing Castle, seat of the legendary de Wolfe family. Having known nothing but hardship and cruelty her entire life, she is surprised when they are kind to her. The English, who are supposed to be her mortal enemy, are gracious and generous. For the first time, she understands that people can be kind to each other.
And the kindest one of all is the man who saved her.
Some loves are unexpected while others are instantly realized. The love between Patrick and Brighton is something that comes from a deeper place of understanding and attraction, a powerful love that cannot be denied… but it is a love that may cost them both their very lives when Bridey's terrible secret is uncovered.

Wish I could give it 100 stars!
Nighthawk was blessed to have such a wise father as William de Wolfe. A lot of lessons can be learned with this one. True love never dies. Brad Wills knows how to capture the sense of removal of your normal daily grind. Let him! It will lift you up as nothing else can.

Inspired! Spell Binding!
The long awzited story of Patrick de Wolfe is finallhy here! Patrick is the greatest knight England has seen since his farther, William de Wolfe! Big, strong, over powering, handsome, and with personality is the description most used in describing him! With good cause. Patrick is bigger than life and smart too! This novel holds intrigue, humor, betrayal, great hate abd desire for revenge! But that is not all! It also explores kindness and a love that never dies! This book deserves a top billing along with the rest of the De Wolfe family series, but is a wonderful stand alone by itself! It is not dependant on any other book or references to prop it up! it is wonderful on its own!

Beautiful, as usual.
I always have the highest expectations when I read or listen to a Kathryn Le Veque book, and of course I've never been disappointed. Wonderful story and excellent narration from Brad Wills will meet all that you'll expect from this breathtaking historical romance.

The best!!
I was captivated from start to finish. The de Wolfe family story continues and old beloved friends are well met! And that ending with Bridey.. made me cry...but only happy tears..it was a perfect ending. I'm off now to immearse myself once again in Le Veque's de Wolfe medieval world with Stormwolfe. Mr. Wills is a great narrator, if only his female voices were better, he would be perfect.

She was lucky he saved her.
He rescued her, fell in love with her, refused to give her up. Even fought to the death to keep her.
These De Wolfe men fall hard, when they find the right woman for them.
A dramatic and exciting episode in the lives of this family.

Not one of my favorites
I Love Le Veque books however this one in particular let me down. The love was firmly in place quickly and following book one it really fell short developing any qualities that would make the heroine lovable. She had nothing to provoke the love and devotion from the hero except her beauty. In book one the heroine was a spitfire and fought like a man and was opinionated and strong and here the heroine is the exact opposite. I lost interest completely once they married and all that is left for the next 3 hours will be eliminating the villain. My recommendation is to read book one and stop.

Nighthawke
Nighthawke by Kathryn LeVeque & narrated by Brad Wills is an addition to the series Sons of deWolfe. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. There were characters from previous books by Kathryn that appeared in this audiobook. I enjoyed the story very much. Thank you for an excellent addition, Kathryn.

Great story, narrator needs work
Loved the story and pushed through, but the narrator needs to work on his female voices. His male voices are great, but the women and children all end up squeaky and high pitched, which is grating to listen to. As a suggestion, he could omit the female voice inflexions and just use his voice. We know who's speaking, character wise.

Love the story of the de wolf clan. The whole family is so entertaining to read about. Loved the characters and perspectives of different ages.
