Summary
From renowned master of lovecraft-style horror Brian Lumley, comes Necrosope II: Vamphyri!, the second audiobook in the Necroscope® series.
Not the end of life, Harry Keogh discovered - and not the end of his battle against the terrible evil of vampires. In a secluded English village, Yulian Bodescu plots his takeover of the world. Imbued with a vampire's powers before his birth, Bodescu rules men's minds and bodies with supernatural ease. He is secretly creating an army of vampiric monsters, things that once were men but were now walking masses of destructive hunger!
Harry Keogh, Necroscope, thought that the war with the vampires had ended with the destruction of Boris Dragasani - and of Harry's body! But the man who talks to the dead lives on, more powerful than ever, able to transport himself instantly to any spot on the globe and to speak mind-to-mind with both the living and the dead.
Are Harry's new powers enough to defeat Yulian Bodescu and his legion of monsters - or will the vampire army overrun the living Earth?

The greatest adventure ever written
A friend introduced me to Brian Lumley 30 years ago and to say the Necroscope series changed my life would be an understatement. The story of Harry Keogh’s epic battle against the Wamphyri is to this day the most impactful and mind-blowing tale I have ever come across. Just outstanding.

What an amazing audiobook!
I think the Necroscope series of books are a bit like Marmite -Some people love it, others hate it. I love them! Brian fuses together vampires and espionage (emphasis on the ESP) and it feels a bit like mixing oil & water at times, however, Brian has the most amazing vampire creations of all time, please move over anybody else that has ever written vampire books! This book and beyond is definitely worth a read just for the vampires. So if you are a fan of horror - go for it!
The Tibor/Faethor Ferenczy substory within this book is absolute class!

Delightfully Wholesome Lustful Horror!
As with all of Lumley's works I've had the pleasure of reading I was gripped from the first chapter. Necroscope: Vamphyri continues where book one left us in the wake of the aftermath where Harry Keogh and his deadly allies destroyed the Soviet E-branch and it's vampire master Dragostani.
We get the backstory of the old thing in the ground and his other prodigy whom has come of age back in England.
Great stuff but if considering make sure to pick up book one first.
Great narration from James Langton who does a fantastic job with his characters and their accents.

Good, but not as good as the first Necroscope.
Well worth the listen and it still continues the Necroscope series.
Getting a bit fed up with the Russian accents though.
