I love Emma Thompson and I really enjoyed this audiobook, which is a mix between the story and what happens on set, which my family will find very interesting. The story stops after the parts which might be a bit emotionally difficult, which will help my children and Emma Thompson balances humour and emotional depth very sensitivily. I will be listening again with my children.
Very Enjoyable

This book ping-pongs back and forth between the actual Nanny McPhee story and Emma Thompson's diary of what happens on the film stage, giving us an interesting peep behind the scenes!
The only thing that didn't quite sit well for me (I blame it on being an English tutor) is that Emma simply explains who has what role in the filming family but then uses non-child-friendly complicated words which would have been difficult to understand seeing that (I'm guessing) that the target audience would be the younger end of the generations!
A hybrid book!
