Summary
A week in a remote Scottish cottage. Four friends I thought I could trust. One of them is sleeping with my husband....
My husband cheated on me. It still hurts, but I’m trying to forgive him for the sake of our kids. I need this break, away from it all, with my girlfriends from my wild swimming group. They’ve been my lifeline these past months. But on the way up to Scotland, my husband calls me with a shocking confession. His mistress is on the trip. He won’t tell me which of my friends she is, just begs me to come home.
But I ignore him. And as the candlelight flickers on the walls of our remote hideaway, I watch my friends closely as they sip their wine and laugh. Someone is hiding something. I need to know who.
Desperate for answers, I go through their things. And when I find incriminating texts on one of their phones, I’m sure I’ve worked it out. I bide my time, joining in the fun, waiting for a chance to confront her. But when my car keys go missing, I realize she is playing a game of her own.
I wanted to get revenge on my husband's lover. But will she destroy me first?
Fans of The Guest List, K.L. Slater, and Jackie Kabler will be utterly hooked on My Husband’s Lover.

Boring
Sorry usually like this type of book but I did not find this story believable and it was so predictable. Only story line I liked was the talk about winter swimming!

Far fetched story
I can honestly say that the characters in this book are absolutely vile. However, I enjoyed the narrator but I’m never going to get these hours back in my life

Frustrating and so unbelievable
Unbelievable plot. Unlikable characters. Really didn’t enjoy this at all. Narrator had a really irritating voice. Will be seeking a refund

Random ending. 2 and half stars
I found it all a bit boring to be honest. Nothing really happened. I ended up not caring a jot "who'd dunnit". The last twist was too much of a jump and all too late, and without much relevance to the whole story I'd just read. Felt a bit cheated to be honest.

brilliant
loved this! After having listened to a few lacklustre books recently this was a delight. I think I've read most of Jess Ryder's books now and they're all of this quality.
narration was excellent.
for the first time in ages I was keen to get to the next chapter!
definitely 5 stars all round!

A REAL Whodunnit!
I really enjoyed this story although there were times when it seemed to be a bit far-fetched.
But nonetheless, I did find myself looking forward to the next chapter and trying to work out who really dunnit by piecing together the clues. .... and I STILL got it wrong! Note to self... I won't give up my day job!
Now to find an equally good next story.

Long winded
Really disappointed. Loved the last book by the same author, but feel this story could have been told in half the time! kinda went nowhere, the end was dull and a real anti climax.
Saved by the excellent narration. But not for me I'm afraid.

Mindless Drivel
I'll save you the trouble of listening to this. it's exactly like 1000 other books about "friends" going on a trip. Somebody did something way back, now somebody getting revenge. Trip becomes a nightmare, something happens that strands them there and no cell signal.
Then people die or go missing, the protagonist hysterically accuses every person of being the revenger.
just drop in different locations and characters and done. It's a waste of money if you're looking for something that has a real mystery or a creative as author.

This is a good book
The complexity and creativity of this book are pleasantly surprising and I think will be memorable. The complexity and creativity of this book make me wonder about the authors process of writing it, things fit together as well as build on eachother so well. This is a very good book !!!

Good title, nothing else.
Extremely slow story, read up to chapter 11 and nothing happened. What a waste of time and book credit.
