Summary

The first time he kissed me, we kept it a secret.

Tanner and I have been at each other’s throats ever since.

The second time he kissed me, I told myself not to fall.

I should have known something burned beneath the surface, and I couldn’t resist him.

The third time led to something more, and now one positive test later, neither one of us can walk away.

Only when his past sheds light on every difference we’ve chosen to ignore, we’ll have to fight for each other or lose everything before we’ve even had a chance.

Book 4

Wow! I enjoyed getting to know all these characters and their stories. Nothing to angsty. All HEA. I loved how Natalie & Tanner always had each other’s backs, no matter with who or what. I believe this is the final book in this series. Everything tied together nicely. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book/series.

Natalie & Tanner!

I don't want this series to be over! I love these four couples and this last story just had my heart! This is Tanner and Natalie's story, and what a way to wrap up this wonderful series. Tanner has always been attracted to Natalie, but never felt he was good enough for "Princess". Natalie too has had eyes for Tanner, so when the opportunity arose, she took it, and that one night stand may have been a bad decision. Now tied to this man for life, these two young adults wade through the mess they call life. Parents, friends, where to live, what to do with school and work, all the things they are not ready to take on are suddenly upon them. Will they find the answers they need? I absolutely love this one the best! It's the boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a woman willing to stand by him no matter the cost. Natalie shows her strength and love as she makes tough decisions about her past, present and future. Tanner is misguided and needs a good woman like Nat to keep him grounded and show him the man he is. Plus all the support from their friends. This ensemble is fantastic, made me part of them and I loved every one of their stories.

The conclusion of the series is narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder. Shedlock as you know is a favorite of mine. He is perfect to be Tanner, as he finds his essence. He bleeds the vulnerability and indecisiveness and holds the love all in the tone of his voice. Wilder concludes the series as Natalie, strong yet naked in her feelings. An amazing performance to conclude an amazing series.

I adored this story

Loved the book, the characters and their story.
the ending of this series is bittersweet but I know the characters will pop up from time to time in other people's stories.....after all this is Carrie Ann Ryan and that's one thing I absolutely love about her books, popping in to see other characters from time to time, like having a cuppa with them.

Tanner and Natalie have always growled at each other and.butted heads......or just downright ignored each other. Then in My Next Play we were left with the biggest cliffhanger and bombshell from Natalie....now we find out what it is, she's pregnant and Tanner is the father. But she's still a virgin isn't she? Little did we know what these two were doing while we were engrossed with Nessa and Miles.
Loved how real and how true to life the characters are and the situations they find themselves.
Not gonna give any more away, just know that I loved this book and would highly recommend this book, this series and this

Tanner and Natalie

Tanner and Natalie. The bad boy and the virgin. Who knew? This is the last of the series, the last couple to pair up. They are so made for each other. Neither of them are what they seem to be and their story made my heart sing. There’s a baby involved and the wrap up is beautiful. The whole series showed love conquers all and even with youngsters it is a forever thing. The narrators took me sweetly through this whole journey.

Fantastic ending

Final ending to the series this one is Tanner and Natalie is story.
Tanner and Natalie come across as they don’t like each other in a series but you know the sexual tension between them is just bubbling can’t wait to come out and in this book it does it in an explosive way I also love the way it develops, love the way Tanner shows his different sides and the difference between the two. love the surprise in it, love everything worked out and it disrupts the series up so well listen to this an audiobook and absolutely love the narration cannot be Carrie Ann Ryan for narrated books she always picks the best

Fantastic

Ok so it was certainly my allergies playing up and not me crying at the thought of this series being over. I have loved every second of it even if sometimes I want to yell at the main characters out of love.

This book I think is the crowning jewel of the series. The main characters once they stopped fighting their attraction found something so very precious in each other.

I have also listened to the audiobook and it is just so well done. The narration choices were spot on

My Bad Decisions

One day Natalie and Tanner make a choice that will forever change their lives. As the two work through and deal with what life has thrown at them their friends and family are along for the ride. Tanner and Natalie go through many ups and downs on their journey. It was nice to see the way they fought for their relationship. Their story brings a conclusion to the world that these college kids live in. Two epilogues are included, and it was nice to see what happens to these characters years down the line. Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder do a nice job of bringing out the emotions of these characters and had me engaged in the story.

Good Story

Ok so as I age I can say that college age drama seems so trivial lol That being said this was a well written story.

The twist with the “stepfather” and the OTHER twist with her parents was interesting. Add a unique element to story outside of college kid angst.

This couple was also the worst at actually telling each other how they felt but they fell the hardest j think because of it.

The two epilogues at the end were a nice touch to catch up with everyone and their lives ❤️

Narrated by
Emma Wilder— I love her. So talented and has a very good range with her voice

Aaron Shedlock —he has such a soft, rich voice and it’s fun when he goes all alpha which is rare since he voice style doesn’t tend to always fit it.

Great read

I absolutely loved this characters and the way that the story was written. It pulled me in from beginning to end. This is the fourth book in the series but can be read as a standalone though you do get extra enjoyment if you have read the previous books due to knowing these characters and seeing the others in this book. Natalie and Tanner have been circling each other in the previous books, we have seen them sniping at each other but had no idea why. It was great to really get to know these two better and figure out what they had going on. I loved the way that things developed between them and the way that they dealt with the obstacles getting thrown in front of them. They were adorable. Things didn't go smoothly but they didn't let that stop them. I loved the extra bits that we got with the rest of the roommates as it did a really great job of concluding the series.
The narrator did a great job with bringing this to life.

Bad Decisions

Great ending for this series. If you haven’t listened or read the others in the series, I highly recommend it. It’s college age but I like the trials they all went through. This small group of friends became a family and each ended up with their own HEA.

Tanner and Natalie are perfect!

What a great conclusion to the “On My Own” series. I have loved this series so much and I’m sad that it’s over. Tanner and Natalie’s story was my favorite and I’m so glad we finally got it. In the past books, you got hints of the angst and attraction they felt for each other. And now, it’s finally here.

Natalie and Tanner have always been at odds with each other. The tension the two have between each other is angst filled but both are afraid and too stubborn to say anything. But one night, that changes. And then a few weeks later, it changes even more.

I love these two together. Tanner was always a favorite of mine from the past three books. He was always so brooding and secretive. That man was a mystery and I needed to know more about him. His past was hard and he is working hard to make his present and future better. Natalie was lucky enough to grow up with everything she could need. But she never took advantage of that, went to school and wanted to make a life for herself on her own. Tanner and Natalie’s chemistry was off the charts hot and their relationship was super sweet. The epilogue wrapped up the series beautifully and it was great to read how everyone is doing in the future.

Emma Wilder and Aaron Sherlock were so good as Natalie and Tanner. I loved listening to these together.

Its not what I expected.

This one I really never thought would happen. I was surprised how the two ended up. Makes me wonder if they would have if there wasn't an bad decision. Both characters are good and grow nicely.

The epilogues are nice. I lived the catchups. I did listen to this one audio. Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock both do great jobs and are easy on the ears.

I have to say, this was my favorite of the four. I love these two together and love how strong she is. I’m glad at least her dad was able to be there for her. Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder did an amazing job at narrating

Love this story

This story and the narrators were truly amazing

There is just something so wonderful about a young man behaving as a man—aside from his secrets lol. This is a Carrie Ann Ryan book after all. Tanner has moved up in this fictional world as my favorite. I love that the journey they were on also includes an awakening for others and their life choices. They were both so right and perfect together, protecting of each other as well as being the others strength. What amazing parents that will lead to! The friends being a part of this was pure perfection as sometimes family isn’t always blood and instead are who we choose. Thank you for this story. I pulled an all-nighter to finish it.

Great Series Finale

I've enjoyed each book in the series, and My Bad Decision is my favorite. When you have an extremely wealthy young lady hook up with the guy stripping to support his way through college, you know there will be some family drama, and Natalie's parents do not disappoint. I enjoyed this story, and I hope to see the characters appear in future stories.
Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder did a great job narrating the story.

I have been waiting to listen to this one and it didn't disappoint. Tanner and Natalie are wonderful together.
Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock brought these characters to life.
