Amazing

First of all this book was not what I expected and it my favourite book in the series and Cole is my second favourite hero of La cottons. Very close to my first favourite.

Brother best friend is one of my favourite to read books and this is now a favourite.

Yeh emotions this brought me, it made me cry, laugh, feel sorry for certain characters, angry for them and obviously happy.

Emotional rollercoaster

I have read and loved each release in the “Rixton high” series by L.A Cotton but “missed notes” was something else entirely.

I was immediately hooked on Cole and Sofia’s story. This story is highly emotional and intense. You will fall hard for Cole from the very beginning and you can’t help but root for both Sofia and Cole no matter the obstacles in their path their love is real and beautiful.

L A Cotton has yet again delivered a heart warming beautiful story.

The narrative told by Leanne Woodward and Logan Anare was absolutely incredible they brought this story to life.

Sport romance series

Sofia and Cole's story was simply the cherry on top of the whole series. Their chemistry was amazing, the plotline was good, and the emotions ran on high with this one. Cole is a top-book boyfriend you need to meet. The audiobook is narrated by Leanne Woodward and Logan Anare, they both fitted their characters to the T, their voices were well-paced, and they definitely gave the emotions that any listener would want to get from experiencing the audiobook. So I recommend you give the audiobook a chance.

A teary-eyed read!

Senior year just got a whole lot more complicated, and with emotions running high, is their new relationship enough to save them?
Or will their love song fade out before it hits the final note?

Have tissues...lots of tissues...ready. It was amazingly good and well written.

My heart was in my throat the whole time I read the book and all the emotions was captured beautifully.

Heartfelt and soulful. This book is my favourite book in this series. I love our heroine - she is strong and brave especially while dealing with such a huge revelation.

Perfect for readers of contemporary romances.

The narrators did a lovely job of enhancing this already emotional book and just punches us right in the gut repeatedly.

Swoony!

OH MY HEART! LA Cotton brings out all the feelings in this meaningful and unexpected first love romance. Tenderly told and beautifully emotive, Missed Notes is a pitch-perfect and poignant story about finding hope and love in the midst of uncertainty. A story so sweetly swoony, so epically romantic, so unapologetically uplifting that it held my heart in its hands completely. With the dreamiest Rixon hero to date and a heroine both gentle and mighty, hands down LA Cotton has delivered her most charming and endearing Rixon story of the series. I could not adore this couple or their story more- my heart is overflowing.

I don’t want to give too much away, but if you’ve read the rest of this series, you already know that there is clearly something going on with Sofia. Your deductions are likely correct- LA Cotton doesn’t leave us in the dark for long. That’s not the surprise of this book- no, the release surprise, is just how gosh darn sweet and swoony it is. This couple has perhaps one of the most challenging paths forward of any in the series- and the brother’s best friend issue they also have doesn’t even compare. Confronting mortality, an unclear future, having your entire existence flipped on its head- that’s what these two face. But LA Cotton give us the best twist of all- the LOVE story isn’t complicated, it’s not painful or overly angst or particularly clouded. Because Cole is the most amazing of book boyfriends- the all in, endless unconditional love, patient and selfless kind. Oh, it takes a minute for him to get it right- but once he does, he is unwavering. While we see the world around them crumble, we get to marvel at them facing it TOGETHER. And what a beautiful story it is- for love to be easy, restorative, and safe when nothing about your being is any of those things. And I loved that dynamic, the juxtaposition of both of them struggling with their futures (for different but painful reasons) with the sincerity and ease of them falling into each other. It’s best friends to lovers swoony perfection. I adored them so hard, and the depth of their love, even at such a young age, moved my heart.

LA Cotton has taken perhaps her most tragic of plotlines, one of her most heavy stories, and given it so much light and hope and heart. All of all the love stories in the series, it’s the most pure and easiest to find- its all the challenges they face that are the real obstacle. But anything is possible when you have love. One of my tops of the series and one of my all time favs from LA!

Rixon High Series!

Missed Notes (Rixon High #5) is a brother’s best friend addictive romance. A beautiful deep seeded heartbreaking love story. Absolutely loved it. Characters are multi-dimensional and supporting characters are just what this story needed. Excellent read. Highly recommend an excellent writing style.

Loved reading and listening this book

Leanne Woodward, Logan Anare dual narration was purely entertaining. I enjoyed both narrators inflections and thought they did a good performance bringing the characters and their story to reality.

Sweet and sincere

Filled with heartfelt moments, hope, perseverance and courage in the face of adversity, this story might have a somber premise but it's all heart.

Narrator Leanne Woodward and Logan Anare do an amazing job of bringing these characters to life and Cole is my new favorite raider. He is the kind and supportive and I've fallen hard and fast.
And Cole and Sofia together? Major swoon alert.

Wow!! Need Tissues for this one!!!

I thought reading the story was bad when it came to heartbreaking moments!! I was crying so hard because of the emotions in the narrator voice as he/she made the book came to life!! I love listening to audio stories when I have things to do! but also love reading along with book!! as always the book comes to life with every word that was written! This story has made me fall in love with these two all over again! The narrative in this story was good! their tone was not boring or monotone!! I have had books I could nog listen to because of the narrator tone was off or hate the sound of the voice!! Hands down a good book and audio!! A MUST READ AND LISTEN TO!!

Another wonderful story from LA Cotton

I read this book when it first came out, and loved it. Listening to it today and yesterday only shored up just how good this book is for me. LA Cottons characters are always so complex, whether they begin as good or not so good, and these characters are no exception. Sophia is a young woman who has her whole life ahead of her, and going into her senior year gets news that makes her pull back from everyone… thinking she has to do things on her own so as not to ruin senior year for everyone else. Cole works hard to get her to share with him, and then to get her to realize how much he cares and wants to be there for her. But can he and her parents convince her that everyone will be there for her too?

This story.. is heart-wrenching… but it also has the capacity to mend the same heart because of how powerful the message is…. And powerful it is!!! No spoilers from me…. You’ll have to read/listen for yourself!!!.
