Summary
Since the beginning of time we have told stories to each other. As we have become more articulate, we have learned to include metaphors to emphasize our point. A story or metaphor can "paint a verbal picture", and help express what we really feel, think, and believe. For those in the wellbeing space, this is a potential goldmine for exploration and opportunity.
This audiobook contains 42 short stories and metaphors that are specifically designed to help your clients find help with anxiety, stress, confidence, resolve, faith, goal setting, direction, patience, and desire, to name just a few. They can also be incorporated into your initial consultations as well, to help you gain more clients for your business.

An excellent resource for therapists.
This is a great book that is as entertaining as it is insightful.
It is packed full of great stories and metaphors to include in sessions to sow seeds and ideas in a client's mind and help them find the answers themselves. We all like to own an idea don't we!!
You might just get a few insights from listening to James's tales yourself... I know I did!
Thanks James.

Really useful
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to James. Very calm and measured voice sharing some wonderful stories and metaphors. This is one I will definitely listen to again. Just the right length for an afternoon walk.
As a trainee therapist I can see myself using stories like this in future. I also liked the thoughtful way you study people and their behaviour. Thank you.

New ideas and inspiration
I learned many things from this audiobook - the importance of metaphors in helping clients view new possibilities, a wealth of examples to use in sessions and the relevance of many of the tales to my own life. James' warm, friendly narration invites you in to the wisdom of the stories and his suggestions for when to use each metaphor are extremely helpful. This audiobook will be a regular companion, and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

One of the most important and useable reference books in my Hypnotherapy collection!
I downloaded the audible version first and listened carefully to author James Taylor’s voice, pace and nuances which are so useful to hear as a practitioner myself, to help my own clients and I must say..this is also a great self help book too!
I am now ordering the paperback version as reference - I’m confident this book will quickly become my favourite ‘Go to’ and will love customising the stories to suit my own clients’ ambitions. Exciting stuff!

A must read for all Counsellors
I highly recommend this book to all therapists as a must listen. Being a visual therapist I was able to relate to James's metaphors and stories. The book has totally left a lasting impression on me where it's already provided an opportunity for me to use a metaphor relating to the client that enabled them to engage further and not see me as challenging or directive. The metaphor allowed to to get the client in to the visual aspect of their story. I've already realised how powerful these metaphors can be and will definitely listen to this book again!
